Change is inevitable...
It's not that at allIs it, though?
I feel like this is all internet shyt. In real life, all I see are nine-to-five men with good jobs finding women and having a couple kids or living the DINK life. There are a lot of childless couples with two incomes living the travel life out here.
I think a lot of this disrespect comes from a very small amount of people doing the most on Instagram and TikTok and all that.
Wages are not keeping up with costs of living
Young people are taking a step back like...yo...my parents and grandparents made enough from their PART TIME jobs to pay for school, rent, have a whip, and still save so that when they got married (or knocked someone up) they could afford the down payment on a home and raise kids.
That shyt is a pipe dream for most in 2022. And when I say most, I means 90% of the populace.
In 2022 these people are being told that said "home" is an apartment crammed on top of everyone else, that they should get a bike instead of a car, and even worse...once you start becoming a high earner? YOU have become part of the problem, the capitalist pig crushing everyone else under their boot
Meanwhile, the rich keep getting rich, and those born into wealth will NEVER have to worry about any of that shyt.
There are project managers working in tech making tik toks showing how light and easy breezy their lives and jobs are, meanwhile you ain't getting that job without connections or getting into one of the top name schools, which BTW have become even HARDER to get into
I can't imagine what some of my little cousins are going through right now
Probably the same shyt I was when I was about to finish undergrad
Like....what fresh new hell is this???
