There some botches in there, good match but it's not a classic match that I would and watch over and over again. I felt like the Punk leaving angle was the match instead of the match enhancing the angle if you get my drift.

Ah I see. The match does have botches but to me from the moment the video package starts to Punk blowing a kiss to McMahon, I'm always entertained.
Might have something to do with how hyped I was for the match going in.
Meltzer has a Fanboy factor. If he knows the PPV will be meh, he scales it normally or deducts points. If its something non-WWE main roster he bumps it up .5 for effort, plus .5 more if the card is putting up good matches.

His most egregious ratings aren't even Japan. At least with those it kind of makes sense. The ratings he gives to random PWG matches is absurd 
It can be Dalton Castle vs. Marty Scurll in some random ten minute match where they're doing goofy shyt and no selling and Dave gives it four stars

I thought the whole 6 stars and 6 1/4 stars shyt was finally going to expose how ridiculous is to take Dave's ratings seriously. Unless you just wanna have fun with it and troll I honestly don't see any purpose on his views, specially given how shytty his taste is when it comes to current wrestling

I think at this point there's a group who legit takes his ratings seriously because they see him as a sort of "Roger Ebert of wrestling" when it comes to match quality - which is fukking

PWG fanboy Dave is the best thing ever. Because you know he has no clue of anything that happened there before he started going & he talks about it like he was the first person to really know about it & he's trying to let everybody else know it's out there
Him going 5 stars on the Superkliq vs Ricochet, Sydal, & Ospreay match because he was there was hilarious because he has/had weird things about build & shyt factoring into his ratings & that was just a match at BOLA to get the Bucks on the show.
