I genuinely want to know. Why is his opinion the most important? How does he determine the star ratings?

Oh he determines it by lack of botches, match build up, how well he liked the match, crowd noise.

Put any of those NXT matches under either of the main brand and he would've scored them 1-2 stars lower

Put any of the matches in the Tokyo Dome and half would be 6 star classics

The first one (this year) was a 5
The second two were 4.5

Personally I prefer letter grade system. I'd give match one an A+, the second an A- , the third an A.
