Dave loves mentioning that Vince has called him. How long ago was this? Was it once, or was it 20 times? I think equating his relationship with Vince and his relationship with Tony is disingenuous at best and an outright lie at worst.
He was sitting right next to Vince on Donahue and interacted like they known each other for years. Oddly so did Dave and Bischoff when Bischoff used to go on WOL

What on earth is the HOF criteria that all these people are eligible at the same time? There's current champs, people who been retired a decade plus, and people who aren't even with us anymore. This seems like an incredibly random group, I'm not seeing a single thing they have in common.
Meltz for all his recent tomfoolery has done real journalism work the past 30 years. He worked for and with legends like Frank Dèford. He's an idiot and a weirdo but he's a class above his sidekick Alvarez, Sapp, and the like.I mean he does write for Sports Illustrated

No he's not.
He's an idiot mark like his dumb stanbase. But he's also done real work with real publications. So by default he is. You ain't gotta like it but it's the truth. He's done the real work for decades. They haven't and most likely never will at this point.
