You basically have to treat Meltzer’s star ratings in two era. 2016 and earlier and then 2017 and later.
Five star matches were rare before 2017, now they happen like twice a month or more on average.
Like comparing NBA stats from the 90s to today. Two completely different eras.

Never got why some people take his ratings to heart
They deserved it tho. Them chicks were innovating on another level at the time. Dave still doesn't give woman's matches today high ratings because it hasn't topped All Japan in his opinion.
