Breh, I do that shyt, me and him shouldn't be doing the same thing when he's on a bigger platform, his actions should be much louder than what he's doing,
Tell me why Ali and Kareem the ppl he named keeps being named by these players.
Tell me his he like Ali?
You do know Ali did those same things..the normal shyt like toy drives, food drives, etc..but make made ALI and Jim Brown different.
So do you think Melo can be mentioned in the same breath as these dudes?
These nikkas spoke with Action and firm tone in interviews on camera..not on some dayum social media playing the middle of the road.
You may be doing that... but I'm sure you're not doing at the scale and frequency that he is. But even so... since nothing he's doing is enough for you, what specifically should he do and what athlete is doing more than him right now?

Edit: I see you want them to sit out. But I've never understood that logic. I've never seen the end game. And in additional to that, if they sit out games, they lose their money and reduce their ability to monetarily affect the communities they're trying to serve. Also, even personally, something like that would have to be a couple years in the making considering they are leading million dollar lifestyles and they'll still have those bills to pay, even if they stop playing.

For example, me and my wife had to save for almost a year to make sure she could take 3 months off for maternity leave and us still be fine with all our bills.

Grow up dude. Take this Kobe/Duncan beef you desperately want to have with me elsewhere. I have not and will not entertain your stupid ass. :camby:
You just seem to criticize every athlete about everything except your hero.

I guess you think he's without faults.

So you're worried about money, when the dude is already set up for life..
You think that dude isn't smart enough to have him and his family set up pretty good?
You don't think him earning close to 100 million dollars with his salary and endorsement isn't enough of money and he's still playing.
Again all words, no action. Take a stance on the injustice, him and his coworkers.
When the Missouri football players decided not to play until that racist ass president was fired or whoever he was, the vice president, you saw what happened and what they them racist ass folks wanted to change the law about them not being able to do sit outs like that in the future. See you see that's action, what them football players did..they didn't get out any toys or turkeys or paint courts, they took action on some Ali and Jim Brown shyt..all Melo is doing is talking..we past that shyt now..

Really talking about athletes who don't get paid comparing it to pros sitting out??? All Ali did was talk, until the draft came. Melo does not or will never have that opportunity for civil disobedience.

You're making assumptions... i don't know what his money is like. But as an adult with a family, bills and responsibilities (and even okay amount of savings), I know it's not as simple as just deciding one day not to work until "something" changes. What can the NBA do exactly?

The Missouri football team is different because they were boycotting the organization that could make the change/decision.

If anyone should be boycotting work it should be police officers or government officials. What is the NBA going to do to change anything? Does the NBA have some big presence in government to where hurting them helps us? If that was the case I'd be more inclined to go along with idea. Them boycotting is like the equivalent of you and all of your colleagues (assuming you work a corporate job) deciding not to go to work until something changes. Yea, it'll make a big statement, but unless you work for a government contractor like Northrup or Lockheed, it won't have much affect on the actual issue.

At most I would say maybe they should sit out one or two games. Just so their point is made. But outside of that... nah, I don't see the point. Now, I DO want Melo to sit out the Olympics, but apparently he's saying he wants to use the big stage as a platform. To each his own, I guess... but we'll see what he decides to do.
