He's talking about players who have been playing longer but haven't gotten paid that much (rewards). So he clearly isn't talking about melo, considering he's one of the highest paid players in the league.

Just stop it man.

We get you don't like melo, but there are much easier arguments to make than this super reach.

:snoop:

He just likes trolling anything Knicks related. He talks more about The Knicks than he does his own team. There's not much to talk about that dull and mundane franchise. Atlanta is a shytty ass sports town.

this is why you can't form an opinion off a quote you read on paper all the time

melo wasnt calling the contract ridiculous saying lin doesnt deserve the money........melo was talking about the ridiculous loophole that the rockets found. melo is going at the c.b.a, not lin

See I'm feeling what Smith said. "it's just business". He understands what this is. As far as Lin making more money than other players, it's BUSINESS. We all know what this. Lin's story is a made for film rags to riches tale waiting for a written screenplay. He is a draw, and you think he's NOT gonna get paid off that?:childplease: Any fool with half a brain would RIGHTFULLY get that money. No other player in this league is going to feed Jeremy Lin or his family. Nobody gave a fukk about Jeremy Lin when he was getting cut from teams, when he was too small, to thin, too Asian, not this or that, etc. No other player was with him shooting in the gym:heh:. The BUSINESS is kind to you when it brings benefit and shyts on you when it doesn't, as of right now Jeremy Lin is riding the wave and that's his right, fukk anything else
Sure lin can make whatever he' wants but then don't say you wanted to stay in ny . He could easily make that 5 mil back in NYC , he'll have his fans and money in hous just not as much endorsements

This shows the media doesnt need to spin anything because you sheep are always spinning it yourselves. This is not even worth 16 pages. The fact Melo stated the obvious: the contract is ridiculous. You clowns spin it into Melo "hating on Lins money" Are you guys seriously this dense?

I honestly don't even see whats so " ridiculous" about it. I'm not of the opinion that Melo is at all "jealous" or envious of Lin. My thing is that this is BUSINESS, if Houston wants Lin bad enough, and wants to structure the deal in a way that strategically keeps them in the advantage of securing Lin's services, and it doesn't break any rules, then what's "ridiculous" about it? It's a strategic move. NY can either match or bid Lin farewell, which is in their rights. Nobody's hands are tied here....

From what all early sources reported, NY was waiting on the market to dictate Lin's value and was willing to match whatever that value was perceived as. If Lin or his agent took this to heart, and Houston dictated that his worth was 3 years at 25 millie and structured the contract as is, then Lin would have the right to assume NY would match. If Houston felt NY would match and added more money and NY doesn't want to match then so be it. On either side there is no blame. Sure Lin might have wanted to stay in NY, but Houston obviously wants him to the point their willing to structure a deal that gets him PAID guaranteed. fukk endorsements and the rest of that shyt, what's in the contract is in the contract. Maybe Lin felt that NY would match no matter what and when they didn't he was a little blindsided, still doesn't mean anything, he's either going to get paid that amount in Houston or NY and that ALL that matters.

Theorizing on if Melo is jealous or not is ridiculous. We don't know that man, don't know his thoughts, or his opinions on that matter. If he feels that the contract is "ridiculous" that doesn't automatically mean he's jealous. The only fact is that Carmelo Anthony doesn't have any vested interest in making sure Jeremy Lin gets paid, only Jeremy Lin does, therefore only HIS opinion matters
:rudy:Look I said what I said great for Lin but he listened to his agent and now might not be in the city he wanted to play .

Breh stop with the excuses. Melo just hasnt got it done in the playoffs...dude has the WORST playoff winning percentage of any player with at least 50 playoff games played. Also, stop comparing Melo to the best player in the game

@ 23statcity, Lin got more SI covers in 3 weeks (3), than Melo has had in his whole life. Yea Melo is a bigger basketball star, but bigger celebrity was Lin. Lets not forget that while Melo was hurt the media was asking who's team it was & if Melo could adjust to Lin. Melo's an All NBA'er with pride...he felt slighted & disrespected during that whole Linsanity run. That fat nikka Melo was slick jealous

:lolbron: nikka talking bout a dying magazine like that means shyt

and melos a better scorer than bron bron :shaq:

:comeon: you dont see anything ridiculous about Jeremy Lin getting near max money in his third year? Theyre basically guaranteeing him to be a top 30 player by that time. You dont give anyone 15 years in one year of their contract when theyve only played 1 full NBA season. I dont get the point of the lockout now because players are still getting stupid deals like this.

No I don't see it as "ridiculous". Houston is an organization who see something in Jeremy Lin to offer him that money and he accepted. Just like MJ saw something in Kwame Brown and Chicago saw something in Eddy Curry. Hindsight is 20/20 and for right now Jeremy Lin is viewed as an asset from his stellar play last year. Might he actually BE that good over the course of 3 years? Perhaps or perhaps not. It is what it is, this is BUSINESS bruh. Get use to it

They saw something in him after all that attention he got playing in NY. They're the reason it even happened in the first place. :rudy:
