So the quote was out of context, hahn and like 10 other reporters actually reported that melo was talking about the poison pill clause in the contract which makes the knicks pay more than the Rockets , not lin getting paid

Dumb nikkas still running with it I see.

so its ok to comment on the structure of your teammates money frontloaded or backloaded? :wtf:

I mean are you serious or just trollin? If it was a regular front or backloaded contract, then no he shouldnt be commenting on it. He is because the type of contracts that Houston signed Lin and Asik to are not normal in any way at all. They are a lot different than just regular backloaded contracts and are done that way just for the reason of fukkin up the teams cap situation down the line so that they wont match. Whats so hard to understand about this?

both of these bums deserve each other

the knicks actually gave this chinaman a chance and he knows he doesnt deserve that contract... im sure he could have made good money with the knicks

Melo was such a great prospect and should be right there with Bron, but he just gonna try to score points... he doesnt care about anything else... There are at least 15 player id take over Melo and thats a shame considering he is a top 10 talent

:win: and thats as a fat boy :youngsabo: now fukk nikka shut your mouth

Right. Melo's a better player than Joe, yet Joe leads his team deeper in the playoffs than Melo. nikkaz making roughly the same amount of money and one is more of a winner (Joe) than the other (Melo).

:laff: @ paying 21 milly to win a regular season game in ATL. You pay him 21 mil to win ONE playoff game in 2 yrs too? :smugfavre:

But for serious, I got a question BREHS: Since when was it ok for a player to make comments on another player's contract? When :upsetfavre: did it, yall were pissed off, Melo does it & yall make excuses for him. Yall acting like Melo's a capologist thinkin about next yr's luxury tax ramifications.

Call it what it is: Melo's a hating ass fat nikka & other nikkaz on the NYK probably feel the same. JR Smith is one example:

As Anthony's comments would suggest, there could be concerns among the Knicks about Lin's contract and how it would be perceived by his teammates as well. New York veteran shooting guard J.R. Smith, for example, is a far more established player in the league yet he recently signed a two-year deal that will pay him $2.8 million in the first season and has a player option in the second. In an interview with SI.com on Sunday, Smith spoke as if Lin would not return to New York. The Knicks, however, have not indicated that they made a decision as yet.

"I'm sure the city would love to have him back, but the team decided to go in a different direction," Smith said. "It's nothing personal, I don't think, just business. We just hope everybody can benefit from here.

"I don't really know how Mr. Dolan feels at this point with what the luxury tax is now and what it used to be, but I just hope it works out the best for both of them."

Asked if Lin's contract could cause a challenging dynamic with his teammates, Smith agreed.

"Without a doubt," he said. "I think some guys take it personal, because they've been doing it longer and haven't received any reward for it yet. I think it's a tough subject to touch on for a lot of guys."

Lin's teammates know the deal & Melo speaking up for how he & the rest of his squad feel. I couldve respected Melo's comments IF he was looking out for his team (salary cap, team unity, NYK's future) but he wasnt. He was really just throwin salt on Lin.

Melo probably dont even know what a salary cap is to be commenting like that on Lin

yeah the Smith comments pretty much confirm what I had thought the entire time...Lin stealing Melo's shine was not the Dolan/CAA/Isiah plan....this 'ridiculous' contract Houston is offering Lin is basically a favor in Dolan's eyes because its an excuse to let him walk.

I don't know how Knicks fans can support that fat, lazy Carmelo Anthony. Dude is a virus and will never get you guys out of the 1st round. Melo should have kept quiet and not said anything. He should knows how the NY media works.
