Melo should've kept his mouth shut.
I was just about to post in that other thread about how a lot of the hate he gets is uncalled for but this is just dumb.
His publicists and marketing team are doing a terrible job, too.

Melo has hated Lin from day damn one.

Lin took all of the media away from him in NY, he went there to have all the attention and when the Knicks struggled/he played like shyt/he got hurt, Lin came in and saved the day and Melo hates him for it.

bytch move to hate on his contract though, it's not even that bad of a contract really, if you take out that $15 million third year, the average a year is $7million. I have seen MUCH worse. Even if he doesn't play like he did, marketing will make up for the deal.

Melo just said not even a week ago that he wants jeremy lin back

fukk outta here, not buying that he hates him

and it is ridiculous cause the loop hole kills the knicks and not the rockets

With all that said, he def shouldn't have said ridiculous

I don't even think he's talking about how much Lin is getting paid. I think it has more to do with how the contract is set up. The $10,000 raise in the third year, just to put the knicks in a horrible financial situation. It IS rediculous. And if Lin really WANTED to play for the knicks, he wouldn't have put them in that predicament...Lin could have have just went back to NY and asked for the original 4 year contract after Houston tried to pull the contract thing.

It seems clear to me that for some reason Lin didn't really want to be back, because the deal essentially made it impossible for the knicks to retain him
