Men can’t evaluate female talent because they can’t identify with the content.
Disagree, Tina Snow & Fever are dope to me, does that make my opinion on those albums wrong since I can’t identify with them? In fact, I think Mulatto’s recent album, Girl Code by City Girls & Cardi’s album are all dope. If we want to go way back I think Hardcore by Kim & Il Na Na by Foxy are classics.

You don’t need to ‘identify’ with music if it’s that good. This album just plain sucks with some awful attempts at going pop. I was also suspicious as to why the sales projections took so long to come out yet BTS’s album which was released on the same day were out on Monday :jbhmm: something tells me Roc nation are realizing Megan ain’t as hot as they thought she was. Tik Tok made Savage hot, the Beyonce feature cemented it. Can’t deny how big WAP is but it probably has more to do with the Cardi feature, raunchy video and the super promo it got prior to release than Megan herself.

Many women are trashing it on Twitter even her fans and given she’s projected to sell under 100K on her debut album it’s safe to say this is a flop

All the female greats before her did a better job connecting to straight male audiences as well
That's a big problem she has. You listen to Lil Kim for example, and even though she had them gross ass sex songs she had plenty of hard shyt talking tracks too that dudes could bump.

And when you listen to Meg and her delivery, she should fit COMFORTABLY in that Lil Kim/Gangsta Boo/Mia X lane but she just purely makes vulgar sex raps. Ain't no dude trying to hear that shyt all the time.

I'm going back through this again and I guess it's ok. My second impression isn't as negative as my first.

I'm at track 10 of 17. I kinda wanna hear her rap about something other than men, sex, and just bullshyt. Hopefully she has some personal tracks on here but I'm starting to doubt it.

Has she ever made a song about her dead mother? Anything introspective, even just a line? :ohhh:

I've missed it....but why y'all doing the corny internet overhate shyt to Megan...nikkas really that mad cause that midget muhfukka shot her? She's catching Nicki level heel heat from y'all, but she had ran the game for a decade before the hate got to cartoonish levels...but that duck faced talentless hooker cardi is beloved? Strange days
Well, she dragged black men in the media. White publications at that.

Also, think about the production with those names listed. Lil Kim had Bad Boy, Gangsta Boo had DJ Paul and Juicy J, and currently Beatking, Mia X had BBTP. You can even add Eve with Ruff Ryders, Missy with Timbaland, and Remy Ma currently with Cool & Dre and anyone Fat Joe is involved with. Me personality, I’m not all that concerned with the connection lyrically, it’s simply her underwhelming to downright horrendous production. Lil Ju and J White stink, and the bigger name producers she gets seem to make the Great Value versions of their better beats. Literally nothing at all slaps and makes my head nod on here.

Does she rap about anything else besides her body? Like is it a few cuts off the album where she gets personal?
The answer to this is no. She never even really gives a glimpse beyond the image she protrays.
She needs a track like this

Hell if she could even make a track like this I'd take it

Just finished listening to Juicy J’s ‘The Hustle Continues’ and I swear I knew those beats would be so much better than these on Good News. He really could’ve slid those to Megan and I’d have no complaints.
