I don't even know how to explain it. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. There's no way this is the guy who did godfather.
I remember the first time I watched napoleon dynamite. And I asked myself "what the fukk did I just watch."
It's the same feeling with no comedy and less plot
dude been overrated for years

I don’t know about this joint but Kinds of Kindness is definitely in my top 5 of shytty movies this year

The only good thing I have to say is it starts with a interesting concept. It's what if modern America was ancient Rome.
But it goes completely off the rails. Adam driver's character has the ability to freeze time. But its never explained how or why. And its never relevant to the plot. You can take it out and it has no effect whatsoever. And he only used it a few times where it had nothing to do with anything.
There's one scene out of nowhere where a satellite just crashes to earth and explodes. It's not mentioned at all before it happens or after it happens. Just like 30 second clip inserted.
Adam driver gets shot in the face and has half his head blown off. They heal him with some mysterious compound he invented. He walks around with a bandadge for a few scenes and then he's just magically OK the next. Again it showed half his head missing.
Adam driver plays Caesar. But he's really just a urban planner. Lol. He spends the whole movie trying to build megalopolis. But you only see it the last few minutes of the movie. And it's basically a magical cgi park lol. It's so stupid. The whole movie for that.
He also directly quotes Shakespeare to start off. And his character spends mucj of the movie talking like a shakespearean play. Needless to say time after time he says a bunch of fukking words and you're just like.... what?!

Yes I like napoleon dynamite. But the first time I watched it it gave me the feeling of wtfNapoleon Dynamite is great though.
That's as close to the feeling this movie gave me I could describe. Except this was trash
I fell asleep for 30 minutes at some point. Woke up and watched for another 15-20 minutes then left early. Incoherent. Bad film. Then I looked at his filmography and saw Coppola hadn't done a meaningful or well rated film in a long time. Living off that past glory.
