X4 is by far the best, X1 was just classic and amazing especially for the time.

Followed by

X2
X6
X5
X3

x7 and 8.. I dont even count.

But the story was always interesting to me so playing them in order kinda mattered

I disagree..

For me its X2, X4, X1 >>>>>>>>>>> the rest in no particular order.

X1 is a GOAT game, not just plat former...but X2 was a better soundtrack, the X-Hunters were dope and the weapons/armor upgrades were fresh. (X had better level design though).

I was JUST thinking about going back and beating the first 4 again...I'd love a 2-D next gen X series...

X4 is the best one.
X-X3 are great.
X5 is a mixed bag.
X6 is one of the worst designed games of all time.
Watch this and then watch the whole series of these. Dude destroys the game while taking zero damage the whole way through.
X7 was terrible.
X8 is actually good
Battle Network has some good games
Zero series is amazing. PLAY THESE GAMES
ZX is good.
