Have you seen her deal? It was a bit more shady than the average label contract.

They're taking 60 percent of her income, all of her show money, makes her pay outta pocket for everything and doesn't support or promote her music. That's on top of them stopping her from releasing new music so she cant buy out her contract.

Usually labels will give an artist a budget and get the money back with interest. Her label does nothing but collect her check.

Back on the day artist would get 10 cents per album but all the costs were recouoable on that 10cdnts that’s why artists back then can go platinum and still be in the red. That’s how they kept them in those slave deals because they’d run their debts on to the next album

The labels would still loan out the money and promote the artist to get something back, her label didn't do shyt for her.

She doesn't get promotion, a budget, or anything else a regular label would offer as a benefit to signing a contract.
