the other case is an extreme (for one. it took them 30 years to file a lawsuit, not 40) but length of time or amount of money is not the basis of the ruling, and neither was "gross negligence". in fact the court considered that even if label failed to pay the artist a
small amount of money it wouldn't matter to the fact they materially breached the contract. you are either fulfilling the basis of the contract (money for music) or you not.

exactly. that's probably why meg is also fighting to prevent them holding her music cuz that's the other way of her getting out contract. bottom line, the lawsuit seems to be getting her closer to being free.
