You can get an attorney for cheap, just to look at the situation. Spend 500-1000 bucks to possibly gain a better deal or spend it on a trip to Puerto Rico to stunt on Instagram? Look how it worked out for her....

:russ: So basically go on Craigslist for a attorney. Yall on one today.

Update: Meg has sold over 1 billion streams plus video and has only been paid 15000 dollars by her label

This is funny to read but it’s well known and many artist have admitted that they don’t get shyt from streaming. What I’m interested in seeing is how much of her show money the label gives her. As a hot artist she’s making a lot of money per show right now, if she’s not seeing any of it then damn

“Megan's touring and live performances to be paid directly to 1501 Certified. She says the label is supposed to give her a proper accounting of what she's owed -- but claims what they've provided is incomplete, and "purposefully and deceptively vague."

no you are moving goal posts

no one in the thread mentioned stem until me

And stem is not the only type of job that requires a degree

let me just give you three out of thousands

lawyer

professional accountant

professor
Again, you mentioned "white collar" jobs initially

Most white collar jobs are corporate in nature

I told you that people don't want to work most of their lives to make the rich richer

Then you moved the goalpost to stem degrees

Now you seem like you're confusing yourself

Nobody told you to sign the contract. Rappers warned us for decades about this shyt. Go to Dubai if you that desperate for bread.

That's not grounds to void the contract. That's grounds to sue and enforce the contract. And I would imagine there is an arbitration clause in the contract that outlines how disputes such as potential money owed will be handled so she has no argument. This is just a PR stunt. Disagreements over money is normal in music contracts... and the dispute process is almost always outlined in the contract. Especially the bad ones. Ask birdman.
A lot of dumbass fake lawyers on this site. nikkas watch 4 seasons of law and order, how to get away with murder, and Suits and now they’re johnnie Cochran.

So tell me this

in what world is a Lawyer, an accountant and a professor not a white collar job

:usure:

I listed jobs that require degrees

My point was and still is that for many people college makes sense

it was you that started julezing talking about stem etc.

just admit you were wrong and didn’t think about what you were saying and take the L

:pachaha:Folks in here talking bout "where was her lawyer". Like she had money on deck to retain a top notch music industry attorney.
You know there’s tons of legal counsel resources for low-income and/or college students?

my schools law school literally had clinics that were designed to help low income people and college students with their legal matters. Firms even offer pro bono readily and easily. :deadmanny:

But YOU brought up STEM after I called your post out, so how am I juelizing about it??

Most STEM jobs are not white collar, just like most white collar jobs are corporate in nature

AGAIN, if you're going to college for a white collar job(unless it's in the medical field) you're setting YOURSELF up for an L because ALL the other fields that you named are OVERSATURATED with workers and you have to grind for at LEAST half of your adult life before you start making decent money as a professor

All of my posts in here have been consistent

You're the one jumping around:francis:

So much talk about how the white man at the big labels are giving young black artists "slave deals" and then we turn right around and do the same shyt to ourselves :francis:
what kind of splits is a Nobody artist supposed to get when there’s no guarantee they will blow, with 2 labels in their pocket and the artists isn’t taking any risks financially?

She was 20 years old probably trying to figure out how to get into an apt and a new whip and it’s a 1 and a million chance she became what she did.
