Meg’s plan worked.......the way she presented this whole narrative is to make people gossip and think these labels are evil. Like when girls get loud and emotional during an argument to get people on their side. This is business. Nothing that needs some talk show special. Worse deals have happened. Not to say her label is perfect, but best believe there is a very big “Us vs. Them” thing going on here in the background that doesn’t need to be there.......

And yes can confirm her people check thecoli......

It can be voided because they aren't doing their contractual duties which are to keep an accurate accounting of what is spent and owed to her, pay her accordingly, as well as their duty to actually release/sell her music. A judge literally had to order them to release her music. Idk why label do this dumb shyt when they are already making the fair share

If someone is breaking major contractual duties, that's the easiest way to get it voided.
I mean coerce someone to do the right thing is different from voided a contract. I ain’t mad at it but it sets a precedent.

Don't give the lurkers an idea, I am 100% Meg's people are on The Coli browsing....

She had two choices, be an independent and grind on Soundcloud, own all her rights and collab for features, THEN sign with a label OR sign the crappy contract but get a big marketing push....this isn't the NBA where your skills and talent warrant a large salary out the gate, this is music, not for the faint of heart.

While I generally agree, problem is that she was a broke college student. What you're suggesting takes time, and oftentimes artists decide to skip the hard part and go straight to the advance. That allowed her to take care of herself, possibly take care of her family, and buy clothes/items/etc needed to maintain the image of a bad bytch. All of that costs money. That's why most rappers end up signing a shytty deal with some hustler/gangster, and their paper work is fukked up for months/years (see: Thugger).

Update: Meg has sold over 1 billion streams plus video and has only been paid 15000 dollars by her label

Megan Thee Stallion Granted Restraining Order Against Her Record Label

Pete is asking a judge to declare her “unconscionable” recording contract with 1501 void, saying that despite the fact that she has more than 1 billion streams and sold more than 300,000 individual track downloads -- earning an estimated $7 million in revenue -- she has only been paid $15,000 by the label.

She didn't write the song nor produce it, don't agree with the payout, but that is on the streaming service. Also it could be the payout for a quarter depending on her PRO (Performance Rights Organization) terms. You don't get a lump sum for a song, it is in increments.

That's not grounds to void the contract. That's grounds to sue and enforce the contract. And I would imagine there is an arbitration clause in the contract that outlines how disputes such as potential money owed will be handled so she has no argument. This is just a PR stunt. Disagreements over money is normal in music contracts... and the dispute process is almost always outlined in the contract. Especially the bad ones. Ask birdman.

She would of made more money with an only fans and selling p*ssy than she did making music. :mjlol::picard:
