Bottom line - she saw $$ and got greedy, started feeling herself a little too much, people got in her ear about how much of a "name" that she is except instalikes, among shea butter set and clout culture doesn't equate to full scale fame and talent. By the time the lawyers, managers, and other execs are running her pockets- and fronting her fees; she'll be lucky if she breaks even because it sounds like they have a cut of her promotion and endorsements. She's not at that "nikki or cardi" level yet, where she could parlay and politick into other outlets - her rap cadence is always the same, there's a lot of big body built chicks out here that can twerk - ROC Nation is not seeing her as a long term investment, because she is rather gimmicky. No one in NYC or east coast is rushing out to rally behind Meg's music. What's wavy in NY is not going to be the same in the south and reverse of that, what's wavy in NY is not getting spins in Texas- that's just how it is as a female rapper until she starts collaborating for that industry push. Her antics on social media aren't helping her cause bc it lacks professionalism. There was a thread in here talking about how she looks "soulless", welp- we now know why - can't imagine doing all that work and putting in time, only to get on stage night after night knowing "my money" isn't mine. Meg needs to dial back that ego and calm down the chatter, because there will be a clash between industry dudes and in these street dudes, that are running out of patience. Money is time, these dudes are not playing. Her name and popularity will only protect her for so long especially if she's not putting out music - fans are real fickle; they'll get bored and move on. These is the adhd rap era, on to the next.
Basically, she entered into a devil's 3 way contract, Running around here thinking that she's the "Beyoncé" of trap rap. Now instead of cashing royalty checks, she's dealing in reality checks. But she's not royalty status.
