This is what I’m wandering. How much did he spend trying to get her to pop? There’s no way she can think he paid whatever amount for her to blow for him not to make his money back then some?
The crazy thing about it is she hasn't even released an official album yet and still owes 4 albums. Social media got her hyped and thinking she got more clout than she actually has. She has all her friends praising her ass on Instagram talking about how natural she is and in bed with G-Eazy but it aint worth no real money. I remember when Rick Ross said he wouldn't sign a female artists and people jumped down his throat but this is a prime example. You put in all this work building her up to get a good look and she starts rubbing shoulders with Roc Nation, starts getting clothes from Beyonce, and wants to just up and leave...fukk that. You signed a contract and still owe albums.

That’s impossible. For her to blow the way she has someone has to have hand a hand in it. History has shown that every artist has had someone bankrolling them
Not these days, all you need is the right hit and you can get a good beat from some unknown YouTube video. Pop smoke did just that and was blowing up.

Lil nas x became a star off a joke red dead redemption parody song.

Juice world stole a beat and put the song on sound cloud and blew up.

Xxxtentacion's music sounded like it was recorded in a bathroom, and he blew up.

Not saying that was the case with meg, but it's very possible to blow with almost no budget nowadays.

dude was doing a full court press on Houston media scene pushing 1501, paying DJs out the ass, buying everybody chains, chartering private jets to ATL to get finessed by some "industry connect that knows the way to make in the music industry".

I knew nikkas that dreamed of getting to Carl Crawford and finessing money out of him, because T Farris hit a lick on dude.

He was doing the regular "dopeboy wanna be music exec" thing, except with baseball money. He easily spent a million during that year long run and that was 3 years ago. But yea DJs forced Megan down everybody's throat here in Houston and just so happens all the strippers, city girls, and wannabe stripper/citygirls really liked her, and they basically dictate what pops in Houston.

does she even wrtite her own lyrics?

If not then thats more money outta her pocket

Nope....that split is going at least 3/4 ways....
Label
Co-Writer
Producers

So for example, she gets 50k in sales:
30k to the label
10k to the writers/producers
Her cut is 10k....

Predatory contract, but she signed it without a lawyer....

I produce and have no sympathy for these artists....

One hit wonders are gonna happen they always do but after they blow you need someone banking you and putting you in positions to actually make some real money. The hit only last for so long if you don't have money/major backing you for something else.

Exactly. I remember that shyt from a few years back and remember when Meg first started out. He was spending a lot of money in the city on her.

Megan the stallion very well may have been a one hit wonder in the same lane as the people I mentioned.

this shyt is deeper than Nino Brown :wow:

But yeah, she didnt strike me as the type who writes her own raps.

I can't see any real college educated artist with options, who takes the painstaking time to write their own lyrics, but then sign into a really bad deal unless they knew they didn't really have much say in the creative process to begin with.

I could be wrong, but she's basically just a pretty face, mouthpiece.
I'm sure @CrimsonTider will come running to dispute this tho.
