I get why some wouldn’t like it though.

Drake is born to a Jewish woman, making him Jewish according to Judaic law. In fact, a video shared by Drake shows him gifting a watch to his mother after which he tells his son, Adonis, to “Look at bubbe’s watch” – ‘Bubbe’ being Yiddish for grandmother, a term typically used by Ashkenazi Jews to refer to their grandmother. As a child, he attended Jewish day school. Home videos shot prior to Drake’s fame show him hugging his grandmother, a holocaust survivor, and also referring to her as his “Bubbe”. Additionally, his music video for his song “HYFR” was shot in a synagogue and depicts Drake at his Bar-Mitzvah, or coming of age ceremony. Shortly after, in 2014, Drake rapped at a skit depicting his Bar-Mitzvah on SNL.
However, ever since these videos, Drake has distanced himself from his Jewish background, as if he is actively avoiding being labeled as “the Jewish rapper”, according to some. He has featured a rabbi in a music video for his song “Falling Back”, but did not spend time to pray with the rabbi during breaks on set. Thus, Kendrick accuses him of lying about his religion as he essentially no longer publicly acknowledge any ties to Judaism.
