I put this in the film room, this shouldn't be his whole life but a slice of it. No disrespect to Jaafar, but even family isn't going to be able to pull this role off. Better to get really good and really particular about one period of his life and just do that.
The general public knows all the beats of his life, but it would be nice to go deeper on little known things. He'll, if they still want to make it a big budget extravaganza, do the Thriller time period ONLY.
This is going to try an do every aspect of his life and it's going to fall short everywhere.
Michael is a person whose personality and life were so big, it’s next to impossible to capture in a movie.
You have to take the route they took in One Love and focus on a particular era/time in his life with limited flashbacks. Trying to fit everything in 2.5 hours is how you get stupid ideas like wasting time on an Andy Warhol scene.
