Drake is "safe", he has a big following and will always win to the mainstream crowd.
To beat drake you need to separate the beef from the corporations, white suburban kids, teenage girls, and culture vultures.

By not doing what drake wants you to do. He wants you to go on record and try to be cute. He wants you to throw some jokes, a skit, and a nice banging beat.Because regardless of how well you do those things, he will do It better which will lead to you being clowned on twitter for a few days.
Meek needs to take drake out of his comfort zone and put him in a lose-lose situation. Drakes Incredible uncomfortable in gritty situations. Involving flex was a horrible idea. He ruins credibility and turns shyt into a circus act. He should've used what Pusha did as a blueprint. You didn't see fukking brazzers diss pusha did you?
All meek had to do was record a diss on a gritty ass dirty instrumental with few scratches and 5-7 min of nothing but straight shots, bar after bar, punchline after punchline no jokes, no hook,no skits, no talking and/or YELLING!!!!!!! Personal bars, attack homies character. "I thought we was bros, but you couldn't even give me the courtesy of writing your own verse on a song for my album. How can I respect you?" No clowning just straight disrespecting his manhood on a street level while being calm. No empty threats just honest accusations.
Then He should've recorded a hood ass video, and dropped it to premier the song. cameos from his hood dudes on the corner, just real grimy shyt. Again, no empty threats or flexing . keep it authentic!
