It’s a Coli tradition to make the same thread over and over, but this like the 500th iteration of this topic
The problem doesn’t go away because we stop talk about it.

Black people are dying due to the irresponsible actions of the citizens of Atlanta. Mothers, aunts, fathers, uncles, etc.

We should be talking about this more. This behavior should not be tolerated and these lame ass idiots should be publicly shamed.

Yall been saying this post word for word for 9 months though.. “if the beds are taken the death rate goes up” i bet if i type that in the search bar 1,000 results will show near identical posts.

Fact: the date rate is incredibly lower today and the past 60 days than it was in July and August.

but cases are incredibly higher.

due to more testing.

negativity sells every where, including here.

This is an insensitive take. For instance, Grady was at 99% capacity in March. You’re assuming that the # of beds is a set number and people just shrug their shoulders when it reaches capacity. When in reality the medical workers are busting their ass, shifting things around, creating makeshift areas for covid patients, and doing everything they can to accommodate the increased cases. You ever work a fast food or retail job and been short staffed? Technically your workers shouldnt be able to handle the amount of customers but somehow you rise to the occasion and get it done. You know how frustrating that is? Imagine being a Wal-Mart employee and yelling to management that you need increased staff for Black Friday and they response with :manny: For months the medical frontline workers have been shouting for help to prevent the inevitable but our selfish society doesn’t give af. At some point shyt will collapse when the people who are in charge of you living or dying lose the last bit of empathy they have.

Give this a watch for some more perspective. It’s fictional but pretty close to the sentiment of those on the frontlines:

Tracee Ellis Ross on Instagram: “Every day the US is breaking COVID case records. Hospitals are dangerously close to zero capacity left in ICU. And while I am not a doctor…”
