i live in California. Bay area to be exact. You know the most locked down place in America? Yet our cases continue to surge as well. Explain that since you cant explain why Atlanta death rate is 50% less than its peak, yet fully open

We were maintaining the lockdown, numbers were stable, so everything started opening up again. We're just now going back into lockdown because the numbers are shooting back up, which is no coincidence.

Anyone that lives in the bay or california knows that people started traveling to take advantage of free rooms in Vegas; splitting airbnbs with hella people to act an azz by a lake in Tahoe or Reno or some shyt; hella more people throwing kickbacks and parties now.

Don't act like people wasn't shook when COVID first hit, and slowly lowered their guard by the time July rolled around.

I dont think its worth shutting down the economy, and neither does Atlanta, obviously.

i think as time progresses we are going to have a new virus or whatever outbreak more common as technology and testing on random shyt happens more often. We cant live in fear forever.


If it is worth shutting down, then shut down completely. I shouldnt be able to fly from San Francisco to Atlanta, party this weekend, then fly back to San Francisco on Monday. Shut it all down.

the fact that option even exists for me to do that, should let you know our government (democrats and republicans because it isnt just republicans, gavin newsom democrat governor of California allows this to happen by not shutting down airports or outside travel) isnt taking this serious despite the bull shyt they say on the news.

I think I can kinda agree with you here. We needed a coordinated shut down.

The truth is, we needed an actual leader in the White House. Trump largely let the states do whatever they wanted instead of setting national guidelines and protocols for the entire nation to follow. Actual leaders would've done more than send a one time check and telling us good luck.

Trump absolutely failed to coordinate both the global and domestic efforts to contain the disease, which is critical when you're the president of the fukking United States. It cannot be understated how poor of a job he has done. Any president would've struggled with this disease, but we were essentially left with an incompetent leader at the worst possible time.

We (The Bay Area) are also the main hub to China/Asia and the virus came here unmonitored from November til March 14th (SF/Oak lock down)

SFO and LAX are the 2 biggest hubs from Asia/China. Gavin Newsom knew of the virus in January- why didnt he stop all travel from there? He has the power to do so.

I'm sure there's explanations, such as total population, to answer your question.

It's not surprising that places like New York City and LA, which dwarf San Francisco's population, have much more cases and deaths.
