I know the religious people may believe there is, but do athiests? And if so, what do you believe it is? Or are you just some thing walking on a thing planet thing?
This is why I can't totaly throw my hat in with the atheist crew.
If existance is infinite and random then none of us are unique and nothing we do means anything. It would mean that there have been and will be countless versions of ourselves, the earth, the universe. In my opinion that idea is much more far fetched than saying someone/something started it all.
I'm agnostic, but...That's the truth in my opinion that we all truly fear to face. It's not as 'easy' as a lot of religious people seem to think it is. Acknowledging your own insignificance, the relative futility of your own life is not easy. But thats why I posted that track. Life IS what you make of it. You can help your fellow man, enjoy the planet earth and all its wonder, and find people and places to care for.... A lot of people think of nonreligious people as fatalists or uncaring of the world because everything is futile.... To me, leaving behind hopes of the afterlife centers your efforts and focus on the HERE and NOW, and the future you leave behind you...This is why I can't totaly throw my hat in with the atheist crew.

Yes our lives are meaningless in the grand scheme of things, but so is everything else.
however you're welcomed to indulge in drugs, party, get college degrees, stack money, find religion, etc anything u need to do to create purpose for yourself you should do it.
So your end game is nothing? Ride this shyt out till the breaks go out?
Isn't that a selfish thought?
Na man. I'm just a regular guy out chyea trying to find his path just the same as everyone else. I suppose I have just been aware of my insignificance for a while. And in my teens, I did go through a so what period. But now is the time. I realized a few years back that there are things on this wonderful green earth worth fighting for. There are so many wonderful things to see, people to meet. A lot of people like to look at the ugly parts of humanity as a deterrent or something that is evidence of the futility of life.... They havent had their life on the line. They haven't been shocked from their slumber. They aren't really LIVING. They're just existing. You're a smart guy
