I'll give you his best written album. If I Die Tonight is straight fire. I think Pacs most underrated album is 2pacalypse Now though.

yeah 2pacalypse is slept on. i mean soulja story is a top 10 tupac record bar none and that was on the album. but the production as a whole could have been a little better so that's why i think it flies underneath the radar

anyway i'm going with all eyez on me as pac's best :bustback:

I thought this fact was well understood.
:ohhh:
What do people put above it? All Eyez On Me? Makaveli?

I might play Makaveli more, I think. The best joints on Makaveli (especially when I'm in the right mood) are arguably Pac's best work. He was angry and going through a lot of shyt on that album.

But overall I think me Against The World is a better representation of him as an artist. Me Against The World is the essential Tupac album to play for someone that wants to know why he was so special, especially to show more of his versatility and vulnerable side.

Man, I fukk with 3.4ths of Mkavaeli pretty hard.

All Eyez on Me just has too much filler. I'll get massive heat for this from Pac fans but I don't think he's versatile enough as a rapper to warrant making a double album. He did a great job considering, and it's one of the best rap double albums, but I'm just a fun of albums that are short and sweet. I can't think of any double album in any genre by an artist that's better than their best single disc album.

*runs out of thread before people tell me Life After Death is better than Ready to Die. They'd almost be right*

I thought the first disc of All Eyez on Me was damn near perfect. If you got rid of "What'z Ya Phone #" or replaced it with something else (like "Can't C Me"), it would probably be the GOAT rap album.

I prefer Life After Death to Ready to Die. That's not to say that RTD isn't a good album (it has a bunch of classics on it), but I love the cinematic production on LAD and Biggie's flow/lyricism/delivery went up another level. There are only three songs on the album that I don't like.

7DT is a classic. Take Hail Mary off, it's still classic. White Mans World, Hold Ya Head, Against All Odds, Crazy, all of that shyt is hitting.

unpopular opinion on my part, but i thought the production was fukkin terrible. nowhere near AEOM or MATW

like this is a terrible fukkin beat :mjlol: they let his lyrics down something serious on that album

:pachaha: They called it the wack room for a reason. If it wasn’t for his delivery and energy most of that album would be unlistenable.
