MATW and Makaveli are Pac's best albums Cuz those were the 2 albums where Pac bared his soul out.

I always switch upon which album I like more Cuz they both hold up so well. Even to this day :wow:

Back in my freshman year in HS I blasted both albums on daily basis. Helped me get through a lot.

It's the reason why I put Pac above all the rest.

Matter a fact Pac is on a whole other level. Which is why I don't put him in my top 5 Cuz he is on that level with :mj:, Marven Gaye, Stevie Wonder, etc. He is a fukking legend.

Sidenote: Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z is VERY underrated.

Exactly. That whole interview he did from jail was trying to dissuade youngsters from thinking going to prison is some badge of honor. Had a picture of Yummy Sandifer in the background, a reminder of what that life will do to you. And he didn't throw his homies under the bus and say that Thug Life was dead, only that he had moved on from it. But then he signed to Deathrow and...
I think had Interscope bailed him out there's a possibility he would have surrounded himself with a different group of people and went a different route with his image.

It's weird. With a notorious gang member like Sanyika Shakur/Monster Kody there was mutual respect and there's audio of them discussing future media projects and uplifting the youth, moving from a gang banger mentality to political minded. But Suge, having money and success, only encouraged the worst aspects of Pac's personality, and helped get him killed. Every time you hear Suge talk about 'Pac he always makes sure to portray 'Pac as his subordinate.

Everybody said Pac signed his life away fukkin wit Suge but nobody could stop it..Shock G sewed it up when.he said once your peoples tell you they don't give a fukk there's nothin you can do.after that except pray for 'em and hope they know what they're doin...

Love this album though I've always felt like the sequencing was fukked up. I think he should've closed the album with the title track instead of Outlaw

Nah since he wrote most these songs in '94 lol between the Atl/NY incident and the trial he was in a dark place..Fi he didn't close with the gunfire at the end of Outlaw we'd be like why he close with that radio shyt??? lol

One of the 1st cassettes I remember buying along with "Tical".......not even the biggest 'Pac stan, but this LP has been in my top albums for years. Easily his best work imo, there was so much variety yet it didn't seem "thrown together". Can't believe its been 20 years , so many :flabbynsick: running thru my own head right now:snoop:

bullshyt if they wanted to stop it they could have bailed him out of prison because that was the main reason why he signed with them in the first place but for whatever reason that did not happen and also he signed because they can provied the musical sound he wanted and also the protection he need from jimmy henchmen etc.

Dear Mama is the only rapsong that I ever heard my mom play.

Amazing album, people forget how big this album/Pac was because of the Death Row era.

"If I wasn't high i'd prolly blow my brains out, lord knows"

Maan listen.. One of my homies got married last summer and at the reception, he danced with his mom in the middle of the dance floor to "dear mama" as everybody looked on. I kid you not, damn near every nikka in there was like :to: :mjcry: Like real life goons in there with their eyes watered up.
