I would try to use characters that they haven't used before if possible.

So i would have Dazzler, Thunderbird, forge, and maybe have Storm too just for kicks then have them led by a nerdy in experienced Cylcops and Prof X. Something Happens the half the squad is killed and the rest disbanded. So Thunderbird or Dazzler die. Storm goes off and does her solo thing

Cyclops later becomes hardened and militant. Then recruits a new team with the classic group of Beast, Iceman, Angel, Jean Grey.

Meanwhile Wolverine would be doing his own thing with Alpha Flight, and Weapon X, he don't even need to join the x-men until their third lineup, where they introduce Gambit and Rogue, Storm becomes the leader of this squad.

That would be perfect imo you push Storm and Wolverine as solo characters, Cyclops would be the star of the x-men team. and Alpha Flight would be another team sort like the guardians is to the avengers. 4 movie properties instead just one team-up every single time.

I'm in no rush for more X-Men movies tbh. I got no problem waiting a few years for one. I agree with the following though:

Start with Xavier and the original squad (Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman, and Angel) and maybe Storm/Nightcrawler. Maybe do Gambit in the sequel.

Probably save Magneto for later
Don't use Magneto as the first villain

Use Sentinels for the first movie, since they effectively personify humanity's hatred of mutants..... Mystique and her variation of the Brotherhood

Charles, Mags and Logan were all there from the beginning, there's no rhyme or reason to bring them all in from the start again. You NEED Charles because he started the school, you don't NEED Mags and Logan because you WANT them to pop things off early.

a longform drama like Game of Thrones for X-Men.
:patrice:
This honestly might be the best option for X-Men or even do both like the MCU are doing the next phase. Because the world is show big and they have so many viable options it could go. For example if they tease Logan in a post credit scene of the first one, they could make a short miniseries and have him join the Alpha Flight team like someone mentioned. To keep it Game of Thrones, treat the X-Men like the Starks. Logan might not be important now but he'll become valuable later. Mr. Sinister could be treated like Littlefinger, pulling strings early with Scott and slowly tease Apocalypse.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
:jbhmm: The big question nobody is asking is should they add these characters to the MCU or have a separate universe to build all together.

The MCU is pretty much mapped out for the next 5+ years, building upon a universe that's 11 years old. It will be a challenge to bring in so many earth bound characters that has a long history. It wouldn't make sense.

The Inhumans would've been easier as their genes are locked so they making it possible for them to be on earth throughout the entire history of the MCU.

If they decide to use build a completely separate universe, they can get real creative in how they introduce characters.

My guess, is they will go the multiverse route with characters ending up on earth with all of them being trapped for good at some point. That makes the most sense.

So, ya'll want them just do the same thing as the Avengers..but, with the X-Men?

IMO, I want to see the X-Men fully separate.

My biggest problem with the Fox movies was the wack tone, goofy changes and acting like they are ashamed of the comic.

But, they always wanted to concentrate on a handful of characters and I hated that with how big the roster is.

Eh, I'd say go ahead and introduce them to MCU so they can do crossovers and eventually Secret Wars.

If they do a separate universe they're just going to dimension hop to the main MCU for teamups every few years anyway :heh: so they might as well be in the same universe.

There's no way in hell that's gonna happen. Marvel didn't get the cinematic rights back to not incorporate them into the MCU.

Just give me that 90s animated cartoon lineup. Storm/Wolverine/Jubilee/Beast/Gambit/Cyclops/Jean Grey/Rogue/Xavier

Tho I do feel like that is a lot for the first movie so they can leave out Beast at first and maybe Jubilee or Rogue. They gotta do Gambit tho bc he was only in one movie and Fox fukked him all the way up. Leaving out Wolverine would be ridiculous. The gp would be looking at Disney all kinds of sideways if they did that.

Villains should be the Sentinels and whoever runs them. I forgot who it was in the comics. They can be first just like in the animated series.

Honestly I think that's my problem with the Fox xmen movies. None of them captured that 90s animated feel nor the comic book feel. That shyt they made just ain't xmen to me. I need Disney to go back and really study those comics but design it after the animated cartoon.

As far as the thread they need to relax with the X-Men for a while. We've had X-Men movies for 20 years with damn near the same roster the entire time. I'd rather they build up X-Factor or Alpha Flight or New Mutants (and not the movie with Arya Stark) or F4.

And honestly the thing I'm excited about more than any of that is DOOM.

When they do get to X-Men, give us a villain we haven't seen. I'm not saying don't use Magneto at all, I'm saying let him play the background for a bit and focus on Cameron Hodge or Omega Red.

The OG ones have to be there, I guess. By default you have to have Wolverine...but id' like to see him in the red/orange/black suit of the 90s.

Personally, I'd like nightcrawler, Bishop, Colossus, Gambit, Rogue, Storm, Dazzler and psylock.
