I worked at a public library the summer I turned 17. My birthday is in July, and my grandmother came to our house one day with an application for a teen summer government work program, and forced us to fill it out. My sister and I were:



I knew I was getting a car, so I thought I was going to spend the summer driving around with girls. I got placed at the library in a very white town, and my job was putting the books back on the shelf when they got returned. I did this from noon to 5 Monday thru Friday. I hated it.
