We don't have to be about absolute integration, with the by product of erasing African American Culture. I don't see the problem with celebrating our culture, The website mentioned HBCU, Jazz and marching bands, and that's positive parts of African American Culture. What people should be concerned about is companies that only use Hip Hop Artists (ASAP) in commercials when promoting to the African American market.

depending on what the product is, and it's relevance to the culture of hip hop... there is nothing wrong with that.

having rappers in commercials for 2k,Madden, Adidas,Nike or Reebok.....is ideal, considering how intertwined in the culture it is.

McDonalds doing alot to make people forget the way they've depicted blacks in their commercials in recent years.... there is a reason that website exists and you pretty much only see Buppie ass blacks in the commercials.

I messed around and tried one when they first dropped in the 90s.......My uncle bought me that ish and it was utterly disgusting....It didn't have a bone in it either.....As much as we love ribs in the south, nobody was jonesing for the McRib

The McRib has some weird unexplainable cult following... that shyt is flat out :scusthov:, but cause it's only available for a short period ever year or so... people go apeshyt over them.

What make me laugh is blacks be doing the american cars commercials and u see the white folks in the mercedes, bmw commercials all dressed up, going out to fancy places while a nikka be doing a chrysler or ford commercial driving through detriot

:dead: at that ....

I can't even drink a blueberry smoothie from there without my stomach going AWOL within 46 mins ........ :snoop: ... its has to be no other choices within a decent distance to go there .....them breakfast biscuits might get some play every now and then ...

My problem is not about rappers being in commercial, my problem is that's all you see promoting and marketing products to blacks on TV besides blacks athletes. So it gives a false representation of the Black community.

lol at the "What do you enjoy most about the new McDonald's Mighty Wings?" survey on the front page.... :what: :comeon:...and what the hell is a 365Black awards?

peep the choices they give for this silly survey:

1. Its bold, spicy taste keeps me on my toes.
2. The real bone-in chicken keeps it real.
3. The crunch of the crispy breading is music to my ears.

lol foh McDonalds

damn near everything marketed to blacks, is giving a false representation of the black community...... it's just a matter of which you're comfortable with.

for every one of us, that's ok with who/what is promoted to us,cause we can relate to it......there is one who doesn't fukk with it, cause it's not representative of blacks as a whole.

The true issue of where your problem lies is that when these marketing teams do analysis of their target demographic...they gonna use what's been proven to sell products to that demographic at the highest numbers.

It's just as much our fault ( if not more) for going out and buying up all the shyt that athletes and rappers promote...as it is these companies for choosing athletes to market shyt to us.

these companies don't really give a fukk about us or how we're represented in the media, they just want to sell their product in the most efficient way possible... with as little complaints as they can get.

McDonalds been slick wit' it...

shyt like this, is why McDonalds cleaned they act up and only got blacks in commercials on some buppie ass generic Neo Soul looking shyt..... all these men in the commericals look like Maxwell and Eric Benet clones...and all the females are on some " i just learned to love my hair and not use perms last winter" type shyt.... with some fukking hip-yet-sophisticated jazzy background music playing.
