Free fight on PBC, I think you'd expect the opposite. shyt this could be a filler setting up Floyd's 50th and the ultimate showcase under card.
Spence is pretty much locked.
:myman:
I mean, I would love to see Lara, Lamont Peterson, Quillin, Porter stay ready, I don't know the dynamics but if Haymon could put Deontay Wilder on this card or Floyds 50th undercard that would be a good look for him.
:blessed:
black on black ..that should be the 50th card title!!!

lmao and troll the fukk out of the dana white, ufc cac audience and all the cac haters...!!!!!!

hahahahahahahaahahah

That's the problem.

If this fight happens i'll gladly watch MSU/Oregon and LSU/MSST over this fight.I love boxing but I'm not going out my way to watch some bullshyt Berto fight when CFB piff is airing at the same exact time.

If two nikkas Who fukk with boxing is considering watching CFB over this potential fight I can imagine the casual viewer giving less than a fukk about the matchup
Yeah, it could be a problem. I love the idea of putting a Mayweather fight on CBS and having it free. There isn't much I would choose to watch over that fight, even if the opponent is Berto...the Oregon-Michigan State game happens to be one of them.

The UO-MSU game is supposed to start at 5 pm Pacific time and LSU-MSST starts at 6:15 (Pacific), so if Mayweather fought at the typical PPV main event time of 9 pm (Pacific), the LSU game would be in the 4th quarter.

Not sure how that would work for him, he definitely would split viewership. The whole free TV is a new medium to see what his ratings could do...however Mayweather has been fighting on PPV during CFB season and turned in comparative results to when he fights in May.

It won't take over, but it doesn't help. CFB has some juice. But I fully expect Mayweather to be top billing.
My comments were more directed toward my priorities. I know I would DVR Mayweather to watch my team's game.

Yea, gonna need a monster undercard for this one if they want the viewers to be glued full-time. Bring out all the PBC big boys.

It should be Khan on network tv followed by one of the young guns like Thurman or Porter for his last one. If he is going to fight on CBS it should be against a guy with a good following and Amir has that and then some. It would be a great crowd and the sponsors would line up to. Floyd would probably bank another 20-30 million for a virtual cakewalk.

Berto Reacts To Rumors of Landing Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Despite his planned next fight now less than two months away and leaving little time for proper promotion, Floyd Mayweather continues to be cryptic in regards to whom will occupy the opposite corner.

All that’s known for the moment is that the pound-for-pound and box-office king will return September 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Against whom and in what medium remains a mystery as speculation continues to run rampant.

The bout will be Mayweather’s first since scoring a landslide decision over Manny Pacquiao in their long-awaited showdown this past May at the MGM Grand. The event destroyed box-office records in every aspect—live gate, sponsorship revenue, Pay-Per-View sales, etc.

Clearing upwards of $230 million for the night’s work, it has been rumored that Mayweather—who is at the end of a six-fight deal with Showtime and CBS Corporation—could very well forego the PPV market for his 49th pro fight and instead fight on free-to-air CBS. The likelihood of that happening could depend on whether he’s willing to forego a considerable chunk of his guaranteed purse of more than $30 million, or if CBS is in fact willing to pony up that much dough for the sake of bringing the sport’s most lucrative brand to network TV in prime time.

As for the potential opponents, Andre Berto has managed to land as the frontrunner, surpassing gym mate Amir Khan. The former welterweight titlist has managed two straight wins, including a 6th round knockout over Josesito Lopez in their back-and-forth thriller this past March, in the first installment of Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on Spike TV.
Haymon serves as adviser to Mayweather, Berto and Khan, among a stable estimated at 200 fighters.

If Berto is the one who lands the assignment, he too is remain cautiously quiet on the subject, though training as if it’s next on his list.

"I'm happy to be in the running for this fight and am definitely up for the challenge,” insisted Berto in a statement through his press agent. “I know it will be a great fight if it happens
