I would want to put money on a knockout but knowing Mayweather's style . . I just have a feeling it would go 12 rounds because I don't think Mayweather is really going to press him as he really has nothing to prove. I think you're looking at a unanimous decision. If Mayweather doesn't KO him it would kind of be embarrassing . . then either way at the end of the fight McGregor can just say "I've stepped in your world now why don't you step in mine"

Agreed breh

If this is Floyd's last fight, I would at least want it to be against a decent competitor.

McGregor punches slower than a dead cotdamn sloth... but money talks... :francis:

Floyd going out wit these ol light sparring sessions and exhibition matches....the money good, but these last few fights have been trash with little action. Last fight I liked where Floyd really went to work was Alvarez and Maidana 1.

If he works on his cardio he can probably maintain some pretty good hand speed through 7-8 rounds, he really doesn't punch that slow and his left is no joke.
UFC matches are shorter than boxing matches, but you also don't need to defend takedowns, chokes and kicks in boxing and that takes a lot of cardio.

But he'll get heavily outclassed when it comes to boxing skills and ring smart, he doesn't stand a rational chance against Floyd or any top notch boxers currently active

of course is going to be a KO Conor can't box. You can't compare to what he does against other professionals to someone like mcgregor

you get KO'd by punches you're not prepared, Floyd can give conor all types of looks, he won't see the punch that KO's him.

Look how easily Victor Ortiz went down when he wasn't prepared? That's how all KO's work in essence, you're not prepared or even see the punch coming when you get KO'd

At least one well-known sports media personality is so certain that a fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor is going to happen that he has already booked hotel accommodations for it.

On his radio show Monday, Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports revealed that he has gotten information indicating Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place the weekend of Sept. 17, 2016, in Las Vegas.

“I have already booked two rooms for Sept. 17 and 18 in Las Vegas,” Cowherd said. “My intel is Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather is going to happen. It changed late last week. I got a call, then somebody else sent me something yesterday and Saturday and we booked rooms in Vegas.”

Cowherd casually dropped the bomb and then spoke about how he does not believe it will be a good fight but it “doesn’t matter” because of how much money everyone is going to make. He said he anticipates the official announcement coming in about two weeks.

If that’s true, this would obviously be an unprecedented event between two fighters from completely different disciplines. Mayweather has said numerous times that he believes the fight will happen, though it has been widely assumed that the retired champion is just trying to create a buzz.

Maybe not.

Mayweather is adamant that he will not come out of retirement for any fight that guarantees him less than $100 million, and he has reportedly offered to pay McGregor about half of that. In an interview over the weekend, McGregor had some choice words for Mayweather regarding who needs the fight more. You can read what McGregor said here.

Between Mayweather being retired and McGregor being under contract with the UFC, it seems like there would be a ton of hoops to jump through to make the fight happen. If what Cowherd said is true, there apparently aren’t enough hoops to prevent the bout from taking place.
