Mayweather just :dead: UFC. Says it was created to give white fighters a chance

The rules were changed so MMA fights could get sanctioning and eventually get back on PPV. After the McCain controversy UFC was banned from standard cable PPV's and was only on directTV for a few years. The "dark period" of MMA. I give Zuffa props for putting in the work around 2000 and 2001 to get MMA sanctioned in important states like Nevada and NJ (casinos were the venues) and getting back on PPV.

The whole "UFC is a sport created so whites can look good" viewpoint is dumb as hell. There have been MMA competitions internationally (Brazil and Japan mostly) for years before UFC got the mainstream US popularity post TUF1. Many of the early dominant wrestlers in UFC were black (Olympic gold medalist Kevin Jackson the 1st black of UFC champ of any sort, Mike Van Arsdale, Randleman).

Of course people will run with this point no matter what you say since coli's lord and savior Floyd Mayweather said so.

Blacks actaully stopped boxing also, moved to NFL, Basketball, and more lucrative sports.

6. I would be extremely intrigued to see mayweather get in an mma gym and put in some serious work for a couple of weeks/months. regardless of how he felt about it i'd like to hear his comments once he's in the cut.

8. whoever said mcgregor would beat mayweather in a boxing match needs their head checked with Buakaw's shin bones. both are beasts in their respective sports, they don't cross over too well. don't let flashy moves thrown with the aim of making your opponent respond in an equally flashy fashion (and thus opening them up to his left straight) blind you into thinking he's got anything to offer apart from white tears for Floyd.

Breh. It's about the UFC and how mma is marketed IN THE USA.

Of course mix martial arts has been around but it was never marketed in the US. That's why the UFC was formed and why it eventually got banned.

And the UFC stans were the first ones to come out making comparisons to boxing even though boxing has been around for over 100 years. MMA was supposed to be the death of boxing
