Is this a good thing with a crime ridden city like Chicago? The guy is probably bluffing but it don't sound good for mass cop exits?

It's a very blatant attempt to influence an election in favor of the candidate they're backing. John Catanzara is a piece of shyt.

What are they going to go do? What about all the rah rah bullshyt about protect and serve? Cops are the biggest pussies on the planet when you're not swearing fealty to them.

This is not real talk

I'm asking. A state which is losing residents (3rd highest in the country after California and New York) hires a mayor who wants to raise taxes. Folks have specifically stated the cost of living and taxes as their reasons for leaving.

California lost 2 house seats due to population loss.

How specifically will that be a positive thing?

California has some of the highest taxes and high levels of homeless. So taxes are not the answer to homelessness.

At some point folks gotta help themselves.

If you had a friend keep coming up to you every month asking for $$, at some point you would cut them off and tell them to get their shyt together. Why this this any different?

Does being against raising taxes make someone a Trump or Desantis supporter?

Any idea of where those residents moved? Any states in particular?

they gonna learn :hhh:

breh gonna be out of here by next election.
when the cost of living goes up and crime either stays the same or increases people are going to be looking for a Giuliani type

Somehow folks think because you're against progressive pipe dreams somehow you're MAGA :francis:

California somehow despite all the taxes has a $30 billion dollar budget deficit.

Just based on data that was shown

FL
TX
AZ
GA
NC

I'm just asking. If folks are leaving due to taxes and high cost of living. Why are higher taxes the answer? Because that shyt is dumb as fukk.

And yes. I know folks aren't moving to Alabama or Mississippi or Arkansas. But at some point there has to be a coming to Jesus moment on this issue. Folks move when it gets too much.

Below is it in order in 2022

  1. New York: -1.58%
  2. Illinois: -0.89%
  3. Hawaii: -0.71%
  4. California: -0.66%

I pray Chicago doesnt become SF/LA Portland/Seattle

im starting to see mini tint cities pop up in Humboldt Park...
..more crazy people/fiends walking around.

One thing we have going for ourselves is its still a midwest city so we dont have as many goofy white folks as those other cities...
...but there are a number of them that will have Brandons ear.

I was in some of those circles for a bit...
...they mean well but they arent city folks and dont understand what it is to live in this city outside of the Northside.

I went to OKC this past summer. Nice place if you value peace and safety.

It's the 10th largest city in the US geographically, and their housing is 29% cheaper than the national average.
