Its more of a tribal/primitive way of deciding who won an debate. Like boxing. You can dance around the ring scoring jabs at will but the crowd ultimately is entertained by the man throwing haymakers with little technique. America turns everything into entertainment. I think there is a disconnect between entertainment value and real life implications as it concerns choosing a candidate for office sometimes.
Obama has to come out in the next debate and fact check Mitt in his opening statement. I mean he has all he lies on the table go in

but the one thing (and i do mean just ONE thing) obama has going for him is that the people who enjoyed the beatdown the first time around will surely tune in the next time around to see another ass whooping from a white man to a black man. only this time, if obama doesn't reprimand him severely, he might as well just cast his vote for romney cause this sh1t would be over.
The problem with Obama's performance was that even despite being more truthful than Romney...he didn't say anything that anyone wanted to hear. Nothing interesting or inspiring.
Speaking the truth for truth's sake is pointless (in a debate). Thats what newspapers are for. This was a performance and he let an inferior opponent shine over him...

The "dumbness" of the American people is what Obama will be using to tout the new jobs numbers as being a good thing instead of being honest with the oublic and explaining how shytty things continue to be.
So this argument cuts both ways and both sides willfully take advantage of the general ignorance that the majority of the public labors under.

obama called him out on it right there on the stage. YET people are swearing obama lost some debate. it wasnt a debate. it was one guy saying we wont do it your way cause your way is wrong. then being asked so how will you do it MITT. then mitt saying we will do it differently. okay mitt. so how will you do things differently mitt.I didn't watch the debate, but the fundamental rule of debating is to thrash your opponent and his argument. I think everyone is saying Romney did well, not that he is a Rhodes scholar. From what you said, Obama let Romney skate, when Obama should have spent 90 minutes showing Romney doesn't have a clue.

romney made some statements that he couldnt back up. obama called him out on said statements. romney changed his plan just for the debate. obama called him out on it.

Nope. I'm not here to debate. I'm already aware of the wolfpack mentality on these threads. I came to offer a different opinion of how the OP viewed things.
if obama had just merely stared back at romney, he wouldn't have done so bad. but he kept looking away. man that sh1t was painful to watch. and every liberal on tv crying over this has the right to be indignant. i cant even tell u how heartbroken it was watching obama look away very quickly whenever romney looked at him.
