Breh, I ain't never seen a company I loved (pause) cause me so much digital pain in the last decade.
nikkas took over Max Payne 3 and took out all the witty/noir shyt it had going on and instead made it a game about suffering/addiction featuring Kerry King.
They dropped GTA 5, shytted on The Lost and The Damned through Trevor's introduction and just scrapped a beloved story that I fukked with on some level.
They Nerfed RDR2 after they realized the community wasn't gonna buy Goldbars like GTA online buy shark cards, fukked up the gold/rewards system and then stopped supporting it completely while failing to give us damn near anything resembling an actual Outlaw cowboy experience. No Cattle Rustling, Robberies of anykind, Saloon fights, Nothing.
They refuse to fukk with any of their previous franchises, No Midnight Club, Manhunt, Bully or countless other shyt they had going or will try and make due to them resting solely on GTA online's Success.
Man, I'm hating. fukk these cats until they give me something worthy of giving a fukk about after RDR2's stellar campaign.

I finally took TLOU2 over MP3, and Phantom Pain also gave it a run, because I’m a stealth/planning fan also. Where it’s still separated is the visceral impact of the gunplay for me.

I'm just sad that they've given up and sat back on GTA online, cause as successful as that shyt is, let's not act like as if it ain't because the culture of griefing/fighting weaker randoms ain't the reason the shyt kicked off and stay frequented by people who mostly interested in creating havoc and laughing at it.
I mean, these cats made a sleeper hit out of an old ass movies like The Warriors that lowkey better than the movie that's more famous than the book. They had a spark, but it ain't even fizzled, they burried that shyt and cashed out. Even though it is what it is, I still find the shyts sad and one of the main reasons I tucked into the Indie game scene so heavy.
John Wick gotta have Sifu-level hand-to-hand combat on top of the gunplay. An accurate JW game is literally GOAT level

Movie games still have a stigma, and there haven’t been many, if any, that are some of the greatest games ever. That’s just too much of a perfect storm to expect. Like there’s not even a non-licensed game that has martial arts and gunplay both on 10.

I actually liked that MP3 was a neo noir story. That took place majorly in Brazil showing Max out of his element. And that even the sunniest of places is filled with corruption. But I agree with you that Dan Houser isn’t as witty with the pen as Sam Lake. But at least Sam was able to write the prequel comics for MP3.
And Johnny’s death 100% made sense in my opinion.
