Max Payne 3 Came Out More Than A Decade Ago, Why Have We Not Had A Game With Better Gunplay/Shooting Mechanics Since?

Who knows after the Max Payne remakes. Idk where they would take 4 though tbh

Forget 3 existed.
Take Max back to New York and have him work another case with his old partner that got, got at the start of Max Payne 1 which in turn had him pinched.

I'd like for them to cross it over with alan wake, quantum break and control since that's what they did with alan wake 2

Unfortunately, Cockstar/GayTwo owns or has exclusive rights to the property of Max Payne so Remedy would either have to come up off some serious bread, enter a shyte deal that would see their profits minimized for the allowance of the character or even worse, have whatever is left of that shyte company/producer be part of the story making process, tying Max into the Remedy Multiverse.

You can tell by my username, if it wasn't already apparent that I've got MAD love for this series and the writing in it, but 3 such a departure in story/feel/wit from the first two, I finally realized why GTA 4's humour wasn't that good and why the writing in 5 was fukking abysmal. Anyone worth a damned who helped Rockstar games be what they were back then, aren't there now. Thank god the skeleton for RDR2 was already fleshed out years before all the talent left.

Most ppl hate these kinda more hardcore mechanics man. R* experiments with it on and off and the casuals tend to not want it so they give it up. Off MP3 and RDR2 and even the driving mechanics in GTAIV you can tell R* got a hardcore, brutal immersive sim in them but they'll never do it because they know it won't sell.

I bet Remedy saw how R* butchered the GTA remakes they scrambled and pitched them doing the MP1 and 2 remakes lol. I would bet good money the reason why Sam Lake is scanned in AW2 is to test shyt for MP1.

It was a great game. The text being emphasized during cutscenes is kinda corny in hindsight but that was a different era. The gunplay was incredible and I dug the story and the Brazil setting.

I'd more see Rockstar wanting to go that route already since they are going through past faves and going the whole remake route since Capcom showed the world that remakes can be damned good if you put enough care and passion into it. However, Rockstar, with that INSANE profit level is still grifting fans with shyt remakes/ports like they did GTA 3/Vice/Andreas as well as that semi-decent RDR1 port they didn't even clean up. So I see this more as them riding the wave of looking to pluck another ripened fruit off their vine of past glory.
I just hope Remedy has more of a say in this shyt than these b*stards, because the lore of Max Payne 1 and 2, Address Unknown, Captain Baseball bat boy, The secret cabal behind the Valkyre project..all this shyt is TOO integral for them to botch or cut on some weirdo shyt.

And Technically, Sam Lake is scanned in AW2 because Lake always had plans on making his own multiverse of characters/franchises that were somewhat connected, but explicitly and implicitly, so Max was already destined to interact with Alan and whomever else he made in his other games.
Unfortunately, Rockstar owns the rights to Max Payne the character, hence why they did the face change in the second game, and then wrested control away from remedy to make 3. So it's sort of a tongue in cheek move since as far as most people are concerned, he IS Max Payne (Heck, more people know him as that, than Sam Lake, the Finnish developer) so even if his character isn't named that, He owns the rights to his own fukkin' likeness, which is as close as we'll get to an authentic Max story made by remedy.
