Max Payne 3 Came Out More Than A Decade Ago, Why Have We Not Had A Game With Better Gunplay/Shooting Mechanics Since?

Still looks just as good/fun as the week I copped it, I genuinely can’t think of game that makes shooting shyt up as fun as this since it dropped..had the urge to play again but was disappointed to see it isn’t on the PS store. Dope ass game I understand the criticism and agree. That Dan’s writing wasn’t as sharp as Sam Lake’s writing, the unskippable cutscenes on replays, and how linear the levels are from its predecessors. But the gameplay, music, level settings, and online was great. I also like how each faction had their own battle tactics, and how aggressive they were.

I hated Max Payne 3. I had to force myself to finish it. I dunno if it was because my first playthrough was on the hardest difficulty but it was a drag for me.

It still has one of the most iconic levels in gaming.




The Airport level was the perfect marriage of gaming, storytelling, and music.

I don't think I've played a level in gaming since as gripping as that one.


Also the multiplayer was mad fun, I forgot what else came out that year. But MP3 got overshadowed something serious.
