I agree that Bernard's legacy was solidified in its totality via LHW.
Not saying the MW run wasn't dope, but it's what he did overall that makes him so dope.
And if his legacy ended with them Jermaine Taylor losses, he wouldn't be remembered how he will be now.
He'd still be popping cause he stopped very big stars in tito and Oscar and both were dramatic highly talked about wins.
GGG didn't get to bash up Cotto and Martinez like he wanted to and that will hurt how he's remembered.
But I don't feel sorry for lil G BECAUSE he got props that he didn't earn early on and a big bag of $ for unpopular fights later on due to his left over remaining overhyped buzz from the hbo days.
The big difference is Bernard had to earn every bit of fame & $ he got and lil G was handed his position based off great white hypism and what HE MIGHT DO.
Because of this, Lil g won't have to take the challenges that Bernard did into his 50's.
He gotta gift against Jacobs, lost to Canelo and i doubt if he'll do anything great to offset this. He didn't want it with Ward, Charlo's, Andrade. He's not going to go to 168 or LHW and do anything worth talking about.
fukk max for being part of the hype train, but now he's telling the truth. LIL G AIN'T shyt

Canelo beats any version of little g. That's just a fact. It's no coincidence that golovkin started looking vulnerable as soon as he started fighting good competition. It didn't have shyt to do with age. He just finally got in the ring with guys who could expose his flaws. If little g really wanted tough fights "sooner" he was already invited to come down to 154 for canelo or move up to 168 for ward. But he didn't wanna take those risks.

Little g was never willing to make any compromise to make a big fight happen. Everybody had to cater to his needs or the diva would walk away and fight another bum. He already knew he was teflon to the media. But it was only a matter of time before the truth was revealed.

Yea little g is a really good fighter. But never what he was claimed to be. He lost to Jacob's. He lost to canelo. And he lost to dervychenko. He couldn't win any of his biggest fights. In every single one he looked hesitant and unsure of himself. Maybe if he pressed on the gas and went for the kill he could have won these fights. But he decided to play it safe. The same way he played his whole career.
Considering the fact that GGG could've been announced as the winner of their first fight and it wouldn't have been any type of robbery shyt proves this statement wrong.

he is a sure HOF guy and elite, just not great. he had the ability to go up or down in weight and chose not to. that is his choice and choices have consequences.

Knockouts are hard to come by against top competition consistently

Even Wilder went to the distance against Fury
The issue with GGG isn't that he can't KO A class fighters, the issue is he's arguably lost the majority of those fights...

He's sub .500 against A class competition if you don't give him the Jacobs and Dev gift decisions...

His career is pretty clear to anyone who isn't a stan, dude is a can crushing wrecking machine who has looked pedestrian in the ring against A class fighters...

I thought GGG was the most overhyped fighter of the decade before he fought Canelo. I had him winning both fights, but i had him losing to Jacobs. Dude is legit and has a solid chin. He not BHop, Roy or Hagler but he's damn good.

Maybe Gruden can convince DAZN to trade GGG to the Raiders before the deadline and he can take over for Derek Carr

Herbert, Tagovailoa ,or Eason could run Grudens offense next year and would be cheaper.

The money freed up allows the Raiders to make a run @ Clowney & AJ Green if they wanted.

Bridgewater & Marriotta are Free Agents that could run the offense for half the price if the Raiders wanted to spend that draft equity to fill other holes as well.

At this point Derek needs to ball out to even be considered the Raiders Qb beyond 2019 imo...too many option on the table to not consider.

He needs that Winning deodorant...:sas2:
