Big diff between a trainer doing that and mauro being too soft to handle the cutthroat wwe n some jokes. We dont even jnow what he did. Any of it wont be nuff to miss a month a work.

If i tiod my boss idont like how he talkin to me and i miss a month im gone. We dont know what happened so stop speculating and giving dude an excuse. Dude knows he has a mental illness and still out there working. I KNOW people with mental illness and have a cpl in my extended fam, they dont work, especially not for public traded companys with a live mic.

Dude couldnt take light criticism and got hurt? Then he shouldnt be there. Period.

yall crazy right now. Need to STOP

Brock Lesnar walked in the door at OVW with a six figure contract. The whole roster put him over only to leave two years later with no give back. He signs back 8 years after that the highest paid wrestler with limited dates, and stands there and looks menancing for most of those dates. Never paid one due. Did Bradshaw ever rib him? Any stories?? If not, then don't fix your keyboard to imply that JBL's actions towards Mauro, Justin roberts, etc was a sort of a rites of passage.

Reading some of the replies on various boards a lot are people who got bullied or whatever in school and taking that shyt personal.

Hard to feel sympathy for a business that if you expressed just interest in learning the craft they'd break your leg just to see if you were tough enough to come back.

And if you're prone to huge mood swings such as Mauro why would you want one of the most notoriously stressful jobs in wrestling like being an announcer in the WWE?

Also call it what you want but I can feel for a child being bullied but a grown ass man?

You just referenced Hulk Hogan's training by Masuda in 1976. This is 2017, don't you feel anything strange about having to reference an event from 40 years ago? Even a little?

The weirdest thing is that Dave is only covering this because Mauro reminds him of a handicapped kid who got into a fight at school when he was a kid and Dave didn't do anything to stop it. So in his eyes, Mauro is a defenseless handicapped person and Dave otherwise wouldn't be covering this at all. He outright said he didn't want to cover it, while also giving Coach/ESPN shyt for deciding to not cover wrestling instead of cover the story.

He's not doing this for Mauro, even though Mauro is a personal friend of his. He's covering it to work out some issues from 40 years ago. This is shyt he could have blown up at any point in the past 20 years and never has, lettuce not forget.

Something tells me a few of you have your own mental disorders to deal with. Getting all bent outta shape when we dont even know what jbl did if anything more than simple ribbing.

Not really because I just gave the most infamous tale about joining the business without even delving into the shyt that went on in the New Japan Dojo...

It's a carny business hell the fact that Vince coined the term sports entertainment instead of wrestling to get outta state regulations and it worked is probably the biggest work in wrestling...

If this is ANY other profession I'd be mortified at the allowance of this type of behavior on the regular but when the root of the industry is filled with so much bullshyt that is well documented that someone who is diehard enough to want to get involved in the business can easily discover, it's kinda enter at your own risk territory to me.

And I understand that for pretty much everyone that the E is the end all be all point they want to reach but for someone like Mauro who Bas even stated that he has huge downswings annually why would you subject yourself to the bullshyt that has been well documented that you deal with as being an announcer in the E? Especially when you have a great job working for the number 2 promotion in the world.

And most of those New Japan Dojo stories are lifted straight from Ring of Hell referencing 25 years ago. There's no such thing as an enter at your own risk when Vince McMahon can fire JBL right now with zero risk and a possible positive PR outcome. Problem solved. Vince could fire JBL, and his Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon can go promote Be A Star using the firing as an example. When Jim Cornette slapped Santino, he was fired, Bill Demott was fired twice due to his bullying. Same should go for Bradshaw

Hardcore Holly tells about the time Steve Blaccman beat up JBL and humbled him in front of everyone

At Kansas City airport, Steve and I were waiting around when Bradshaw came over. It was an early morning flight and John was still drunk from the night before. He started patting Steve’s ass. Steve said, “John, I don’t play that shyt, knock it off.” John patted him again. And again. Steve was getting brutally pissed. He told him, “John, next time you do that, I’m going to knock your fukking teeth out.” So, of course, John did it again. Steve whipped around and backhanded Bradshaw, popping him with jabs in the face.

John started swinging and missing, and his head was snapping back with each of Steve’s jabs. Steve stepped back, planning to kick Bradshaw’s knees out, but he got his leg caught in a bag handle. Al Snow and I grabbed Steve, Ron Simmons grabbed John, and we pulled them apart. John was walking back and forth like a bandy rooster, looking to fight. Before we left, Steve told him, “I’m going to fukking kill you.” He meant it too.

We got our car and got on the road. Ken Shamrock was riding with us. Me, Blackman, and Shamrock. That’s a dangerous car, and I’m the warm one — a teddy bear compared to the other two. That whole journey, Shamrock was poking and prodding Steve, telling him that Bradshaw was going to beat his ass. Steve wasn’t saying a word. And who did we see when we checked in to the hotel? Bradshaw and Ron were right there.

The boys don’t always stay at the same hotels, so it was a complete coincidence and not a good one for John. He came over to apologize and Steve said, “No apologies, I’m going to finish you later,” then walked off. We found him in the gym, still boiling mad. Once we were in the arena and had sat down in catering, John walked in. Everybody went silent as Steve stood up. He said, “If you’ve got something to say to me, you say it now or I’m going to finish you in front of everybody.”

Bradshaw walked over, apologized and said, “I shouldn’t have fukked with you,” and shook his hand. That was the end of it. Steve sat down and said, “Bob, if it wasn’t for that bag, John would be in intensive care right now.” Trust me, I believe it — if anybody can put Bradshaw in the hospital with one kick, it’s Steve Blackman.
