That's not what we're pretending, dummy. Combat sports is every bit as carny as pro wrestling is the point. PRIDE literally was run by wrestlers and the Yakuza, encouraged people to be on steroids, paid people to work matches, put on freak show contests. Strikeforce was notoriously dirty. Boxing is notoriously dirty. The Conor/Mayweather fight itself is the most carny bullshyt seen in decades.
