A good running back on a bad team looking for a second(or third) contract is never going to happen. MJD has no leverage here really. Jax aint winning shyt this year with or wihtout him. There's no point for the Jaguars to give in.

Breh, thats exactly what i would have done. Im sure they want the face of the franchise tobretire a jag. Hes making 4.5 a year for the last 2 years. Just scrap his last year and pay him 9 this year. That way you reup his contract based on what he does this season. Fair for both sides

they had already looked out for him tho in honesty, he was a second round pick so you know he never got that big upfront guaranteed money on his first deal. So when FreddyFlatFootDaGawd was released they decided to pay MJD like a feature back even tho he only shared time.
