Laughing at you n*ggaz like “ha ha ha”
He put up his career averages
How is a 64% completion percentage, 91 passer rating and 2-1 TD/INT ratio bad?
He put up his career averages
Same offense but picking the wrong plays at the wrong time because we have an incompetent OC. Ryan was always better when we were doing the no huddle and he was calling the shots definitively.
He's not bad. That Super Bowl season was an outlier. He's not "jumping back up to his averages" He's what he currently is.How is a 64% completion percentage, 91 passer rating and 2-1 TD/INT ratio bad?

He's the best passer in Falcons history.
He's just not a Super Bowl QB
Tony Romo put up really good #s for a long time as well
Some quick observations:
1. We have to address our Offensive Guard situation. Matt is consistently pressured up the middle, which is the quickest way to get sacked. It's also why we are trash in short yard situations. It's no coincidence our best passing plays come off of playaction with wide rollouts, away from the interior rush.
2. Sark has to learn how to build plays. It feels like he just calls plays randomly. Shanny used to set up plays like a boxer. Jab, jab, hook. He was excellent at stressing the defense. Hit the TE up the seam behind the LBs, then hit freeman or coleman on a HB directional in front of the LBs, THEN take the top off the defense with Gabriel or Julio because the safeties feel they need to cheat to help the LBs. You have to test a defense's discipline. That's why it kills me to see playcallers not build on what works!!
3. I'd love a playmaking TE to help with the middle of the field.
4. Keanu seemed to play timid late in the season. He became a ball stripper rather than a tackler. He also needs to work on his angles and pass coverage. Consistently gets abused by good TEs.
5. I was disappointed in Poe's production. He never consistently got pressure up the middle. Don't know if we resign him.
6. We definitely need another WR. Julio is obviously on a play count and his foot gives him hell every season.
7. What was up with all the WR drops?
8. Vic should never be in coverage as much as he was this season. Get another LB. Keep Vic's hand in the dirt.
9. We don't have an intimidating homefield advantage. The Saints and Panthers games were the only times the MBS seemed electric, for obvious reasons.
10. Quinn needs to show balance between being a player's coach and being a disciplinarian. Too many dumb ass penalties either extended or killed drives. He needs game management skills too.
11. Trufant thinks he is faster than what he truly is. He got toasted alot from cheating in coverage and thinking he could recover.
12. I'll be interested to see Matt's new contract. That will tell me how wide our window of being competitive is.
Sorry for the long post. Overall, I'm still optimistic. Let's hope that this offseason is good to us.
Great observations breh
1. I say we draft at least one guard, maybe 2. The line play against teams with good DLs was atrocious. Mack frequently had to slide over to help Wes (especially early in the year) or more recently with Ben Garland in for Levitre (who I'm not sure comes back next yr)
2. I'm probably the only Falcons fan willing to give him one more year. Obviously learning the speed and the tempo of how to call a pro game was something he struggled with, but this was still a top 10 offense. Get the offense right and we should be right back in the mix next yr
3. I don't think we go after another TE. We drafted the TE from Drake last yr and already have Hooper and Toilolololololol...Hooper has to cut out the drops and improve his route running. His lack of mental focus there alone lost us the Buffalo game
4. Statistically Keanu was better in coverage than it seemed to the naked eye. But I agree that he has to play the ball better if he is called on to cover the TE
5. Poe's gone. Never made a huge impact up the middle. And for $10 million we can fill a couple holes elsewhere
6. Yep
7. It was strange for sure...maybe just an anomaly
8. I like Vic in that OLB/DE role, they've got to figure out how to use him more like Von Miller or Khalil Mack where his primary focus is to rush the passer. 2017 was a lost season for Vic
9. we could talk for days about that one. The PSL crowd doesn't get hype for games
10. Game management is still an ongoing opportunity for DQ. He also needs to better balance the aggressive/playing it smart angle. He's getting better but he still has moments when you're like
11. Tru to me is a good corner, not great. Falcons need to draft another CB for depth purposes behind him, Rocky & Poole
12. Probably his last big deal but with QBs playing longer Matt could play until he's 40. I would hope it's more guaranteed money and a smaller yearly cap number. Because we have so much young talent on both sides our window is now but some of our key guys are coming up on getting paid soon (Vic, Grady, TeCo)
This will be the hot topic of the offseason for sure. I agree that he should get another shot. It's not his offense-- we weren't terrible at it, just wildly inconsistent. I honestly don't want Ryan to have to learn under a 5th offensive coordinator either breh.
Talent wise who we losing after another year?Give em time to figure it out, if it doesn't work after next yr then I say look at making a change
Breh u know better than to take Cacherds opinions on anything football related seriouslyHow is a 64% completion percentage, 91 passer rating and 2-1 TD/INT ratio bad?

Sorry for the long post. Overall, I'm still optimistic. Let's hope that this offseason is good to us.
We’ve been in the playoffs without Julio, would’ve been 3 years in a row more than likely if not for Matt and Turner both getting hurt toward the end of 09.
And there’s no such thing as “it shouldn’t have come to that” because games often come down to a few plays here and there when you get this far into the season.
The game was on the line and we trusted our supposed best player and guy who makes that “bum” Matt Ryan look good to make a play that receivers of his ilk are supposed to make and he failed, period.
We had our best field position of the night after they kicked the ball out of bounds and Freeman immediately gives up a sack, just like he did in the SB, then Julio follows that up with a drop that would have put us in 3rd and short.
Despite the defense “allegedly” having a good game they let Nick Foles convert 3rd down after 3rd down (3rd down and 7+ at that) when we were pinning them back so we couldn’t even win the field position battle.
But congratulations you’ll be the first ever poster in 5 years that I’ve put on ignore so there is some good that’s come out of this loss
