I feel it'll start like how it started w/ MJ and eventually LeBron will be the majority owner. And he doesn't have the bread now, but in 20 years he might.
Jordan was very lucky. He gained majority ownership shortly after the '08 financial crisis when Bob Johnson was financially strained and desperate to sell. Also there weren't nearly as many billionaires at the time following the crisis.

"bu bu but if the Black Billionaires pooled together, they could do it" - Coli Economists

:mjcry:

RICH BLACKS COULD HAVE
BEEN OWNERS WELL BEFORE
THEY GOT PRICED OUT JUST LIKE
MJ DID FOR 275 MILLION.

SOMEBODY LIKE OPRAH
COULD HAVE EASILY BOUGHT
THE CELTICS FOR 360 MILL IN 2002...

OR THE SIXERS FOR 280 MILL IN 2011...

OR THE BUCKS FOR 550 MILLION
IN 2014...

OR THE HAWKS FOR 850 MILLION IN 2015 ..

AS A MATTER OF FACT
THE WOLVES & JAZZ HAVE SOLD
FOR ABOUT 1.5 BILLION
IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS
SO nikkaS SHOULDNT GET HUNG UP
ON THIS 4 BILLION TAG.

IF THE SUNS SUCKED
LIKE THEY DID 4 YEARS AGO
THEY WOULD HAVE WENT FOR
THE DIRT BUT THEYRE COMING
OFF A FINALS & 1 SEED IN B2B YRS.

I would like to see a group of 5 black men, like David Steward , Robert Smith both billionaires and add in a couple of athletes as well to it

Black billionaire's net worths are more speculative since they aren't tied to publicly traded companies, windfalls from selling companies or inheritance. Steward, Smith and others probably don't have the combined liquid wealth of many individual billionaires interested in buying teams.

My cousin played for MSU football under Saban in this era. Probably knows/knew this guy.

Really underscores how athletes gotta move. We are always so focused on the game, we need to be focused on networking. Athletes have a finite window of fame and access that probably gets taken for granted.

If the league really wanted more black owners like that, then it would have happened along time ago as you mentioned before they got priced out.

Now NBA teams are out here going for NFL team prices. I Dan only imagine how much the Blazers will go for when Jody Allen finally has to sell.
