Goods for billionaires has seen the craziest inflation :wow:

Remember when NBA teams were going for like 300 million bucks that wasn't even a long time ago.

Just proves that the central banks pumpin out cash into the world has generally just made billionaires billions stack

Nobody uses $4 billion of their own capital. It’s all funded by debt and outside investors. Few people on earth have $4billion liquid. Maybe jeff bezos but that’s it.
You still need a net worth of billions to secure funding for billions for these type of purchases.
Or a whole lotta cash, I think the debt-to-ebidta for leveraged loans is like 70 % and PE-firms use like 20-30 % equity in leveraged buyouts.

So basically he'd need 0.8bn to 1bn in cash for a leveraged buyout of 4b. And that given that the remaining 3bn meet the tests of i.a. debt-to-ebidta etc.

As a Suns fan, I'm just glad the Sarver era is over. The timing is perfect because that luxury tax is going to make a huge jump. CP3's getting 30 million a yr, Bridges is getting 20 million a yr, Ayton is getting 30 million a yr, Booker has his 40 million a yr super max, Cam Johnson's trying to get 20+ million a year.

We’re essentially saying the same thing. Even if you had $4 billion cash you’re a fool to use any liquid. Most of these things are financed through debt. Debt compromises a majority of the funding. Pe firms typically use less than 30% equity in LBOs. 30% is kinda high unless its a small/mid market buyout
