Craven for sure...this is my vote based on both liking so any of his movies/creations and the fact that I’ve only seen carpenter’s Halloween movies, the thing
and village of the damned. Cravens filmography is so much deeper and it both brought things to the genre as well as defined horror movie fukkery

I rewatched The Thing last night, and nothing about my opinion has changed. I was not "wowed" by this movie. Definitely a "man's man" type of movie. But I appreciate the write ups though- it was more interesting to watch this time around.
