I think the big question is how hard Tennessee going to be hit, could be a two year thing, i wouldn’t blame him, it’s probably an easier route there in Columbus to a bigger title gig, Tennessee will have his numbers looking so-so, but the lure of sec glory especially in the face of crises will bolster him.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day has hired former Buckeye football player CJ Barnett as the program’s Director of Player Development. The job was previously held by Ryan Stamper — who, like Barnett, was a police officer prior to assuming this role. Stamper recently left for a similar position with Urban Meyer and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Stamper’s role at Ohio State was previously described by the university as “an administrative resource for players in all areas of their development,” and the expectation is that will now continue under Barnett. Barrett’s title in OSU’s staff directory is listed as Director, Player Development and External Affairs.

The position also includes community outreach, preparation for life after football, and likely the continuation of “Real Life Wednesdays,” which featured community leaders and speakers addressing the team on a variety of topics that are more about life than football.
