Over a 100 casings were found. Switches, the possession or trafficking of them, should carry a mandatory 40 year sentence. No matter the age
these terrorists are using a loophole where felons can't be charged with possessing switches. this is because machine guns are legal, but require a $200 tax and jumping through various other red tape, all to keep them out of the hands of the poor. felons can't pay the tax because they'd be opening themselves up to charges by doing so - this would be a fifth amendment violation, so we've ended up with the bizarre status quo where only the law-abiding can catch charges for possessing switches.
As someone that just into firearms and being around 2nd ammendment folks I'm telling you they want zero gun restrictions. If they got the right to buy a missile they would.
we do have the right to buy/manufacture missiles and other title ii weapons (source is i've posted my receipts in the hobby thread). it's a natural right which has nothing to do with the second amendment, and it's gated behind the same taxes to keep them exclusively for the rich.

Has Birmingham ever not been bad? Before it was like a smaller Memphis you had the cacs bombing churches and terrorizing the streets
The physical layout of the city doesn’t help; way too many alleys, streets that lead nowhere, it was built more as a conglomeration of company towns and neighborhoods than an actual urban master plan. That doesn’t correlate to this shooting, but it does affect the other homicides (I think they are at 118 for the year). There are still a lot of neighborhoods that are divided and basically no-fly zones.
Yeah this was an organized hit. While I'm for gun control, shyt like this skews the numbers
Organized as in they had guns and bullets, but if this shyt was organized, the intended target would have been the only one targeted and the killers would not be facing capital murder charges. They are going to execute the ones who pulled the triggers.

Skews what numbers? This is a perfect example of why gun reform is needed. Down here in Alabama we have an open carry law with no permits needed. All of the four major metro areas in the state have seen a rise in homicides and violent crimes, and meanwhile, Alabama is building a billion dollar prison facility that will house them and get profit off of keeping them incarcerated. That’s the only thing really organized about this unfortunate situation
