All we need to know and what the media should be asking is if there were cameras in the hallways of the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

Specifcally, the 32nd floor from Thurs Oct 28 - Monday Oct 2 (since it ended in the morning apparently)

Simple. Some hotels don't have cameras in hotel room halkways, but Vegas hotels of that size probably have them.

If you guys have a solution I would love to hear it.:ehh:
I already posted my response to this question.
The fact that he still obtained a banned assault rifle obviously means something isn't working. A quick google search brings up plenty of suggestions but I like what Australia did according to this article:

Australia's Lessons on Gun Control

In a surprise to nobody, gun violence dropped significantly. Does this mean everything they did in Australia can be applied to the US? Of course not, but that doesn't mean we should just throw out hands up and let this shyt keep happening.
The only bad solution is to toss out prayers and just hope things magically get better. The US is literally the only first world country where this happens regularly yet people act like it's a huge mystery to solve the problem.

In fact, the general public mostly supports stricter gun control. It's congress (and of course the NRA) that's holding things up.

Analysis | Experts and the public agree on how to stop gun violence. Politicians don’t.

I think a a lot of brehs never shot an ar15. The way them rounds sounded it sounded a lot more than 30 at a time. More than 50 too. How many 100 round drums he have ? Also how many guns he had the slide fire stock on ? It don't make sense. You know how hot that barrel would be on a civilian ar15 or ak? Only a military grade weapon would be able to handle that many rounds that quickly. Again I'm just saying it's very fishy...
Fwiw one of the pics I saw of his rifles had a surefire 60 round mag.

None of the bursts I heard sounded like more than 60 rounds.

Multiple shooters...

Just saying :hubie:

I trust the scientific method. If I see evidence that there was multiple shooters, I'll believe it.

And I don't consider 'things that don't add up' to be evidence. If something is fishy, or doesn't make total sense, the science and evidence based decision isn't to jump to a conclusion that it was a false flag operation or something like that.

Believing everything the mainstream media reports is stupid. But so is disbelieving everything in the mainstream media under the guise of 'being skeptical.'

People that are truly skeptical don't start with the conclusion and work backwards to cherry pick the pieces that support what they want to be true.

BTW this is just an anecdote, but the government can't even get people water in the fukking Superdome after Katrina. People into conspiracy theories really overrate the competency of the federal government.

Possible solutions are everywhere...you don't need me to repeat them. Make it either way more difficult to legally own and sell guns or make it illegal. Do continuous background checks on gun owners!!!! Increase funding for the mentally ill! These would be great starting points

....... That means what exactly :wtb:
He's just saying that it's fukked up that anytime a white mass shooter is on the news, they never call him a terrorist. White mass myrderers always get called lone wolfs, or mentally ill. It's fukked up.

As an aside, usually for something to be labeled terrorism the FBI wants to see some kind of political or religious motivation, but IMO this situation is so extreme she so barbaric that the shooter absolutely deserves to be called a terrorist.

As another aside, I wish they would pass a law where a mass shooter gets their name mentioned once on each news outlet, for the sake of historical accuracy, and possibly one photo of them. That's it. No retreating the name or showing the picture or giving them the infamy they desired.

If we can keep rape victim's names out of the press, it would be ideal if we could not give these fukks even an ounce of fame.

I came across people talking about a second shooter around the 12th floor because a video was showing a reflection of a reflection of gunfire. I guess they thought buddy had cut a hole in the glass or had the one window that opened in the hotel

I do think, obviously, that the disparity of labeling and fear mongering when it's an ISIS related attack is pure racism, though I don't really blame the media, so much as the citizens, and the new administration. However, terrorism has kind of lost it's meaning in this new state of affairs, where we have people going on killing sprees for sometimes unknown, or unfathomable reasons. Terrorism is ideology based violence inflicted on civilians, it is terrorism, but if this guy did this because his life lost all meaning, or his girlfriend left him, what ideology is that? There's difference between violence for a cause, (IRA, ISIS, Al Qaeda) no matter how irrational, and kind of "men who want to watch the world burn", and then guys like Elliot Rodger, who fall more in line with domestic terrorist, which is probably the correct label here as well.
