Thats really the release date they claim???
Most games are made within the span of 3-5. Witcher 3 took three years and its the GOAT. FF15-10...and its fighting real hard to be part of the biggest letdown in the history of gaming. Greatness might not be able to be quantified, but effort can...and if it looks like more effort is going into Andromeda, than FF15. Or it could be a major sinking ship.

What's so funny, jackass? Game has been in development since 2012 and no official date has been announced yet.
Ffxv is a solid game but these days if it's not perfect it's trash. Anticipated titles can't just be good

Overwatch, Witcher 3, Uncharted 4...anticipated titles that are completed (stress on the completed part) are always good. FF15 was a rush job, a pretty rush job, but a rush job non the less. RNG summons = major fail, coming from a series where that wasn't even a thing. Pretty sure no one likes random rolling their magic in RPG's....imagine that in a Zelda game. Story - Lackluster, now you might read that as narrative being bad, but its not, its basically Hamlet, however the story doesn't do match passed that comparison. Very few likeable characters.
Is the combat solid? Yes, is it a huge letdown? Hell yes.

I'll be honest and say I've never played a Mass Effect game. Whats the combat like?
Earlier than I expected. 
It changed drastically with each entry. The first one was on some dragon age, knights of the old republic vibe.
Part 2 leaned more towards action and part 3 is straight up gears of war with magic powers sprinkled in.

I never really got into the series either, besides playing a demo for 2. I think I will jump in with Andromeda
