My three favorite points he made; the tone in the writing is horrible (5:00) and the squadmates are just reskins of old characters (12:20) and the Angara were not interesting (9:00)

In the first game or this one (I haven't played this one yet)Just finished it...didn't think it was that bad.
Wasn't as good as the OG, exploring the planets got a little repetitive but I still enjoyed it.
Might try to finish this since im close but man this shyt was a let downea better not fukk up that kotor remake with them lootboxes

@PS4 I meant andromeda. ME1 was solid. Story wise it was piff, gameplay wise was meh.

I've played each game in the OG trilogy more then once. I guess I just didn't hold it to that standard because I knew going in they were starting from scratch pretty much. I also never played dragon age inquisition which a lot of people said andromeda was a knockoff version of.
I mean obviously it's not as good as the OGs. No memorable characters like Garrus, Wrex or Thane or the Illusive Man and Ryder was more a Nathan Drake wanna be then a badass like Shepherd but i still had fun.
Playing The Witcher now though which completely shyts all over it. I wish the people who did the witcher would do KOTOR or a game of thrones game.

While Andromeda isn't "bad", its not a Mass Effect title. I consider ME2 better, and I despise that one. While Andromeda has plenty of new characters, the give me more reasons to kill Kaidan every time..the game itself, lacks character, the story is mundane, the big bad is no where close to Saren or Illusive Man proportions and the twist is dull. I find myself wanting to play a game about Drack or Corra, than the Ryder family.
Anyway, I play Dragon Age cold turkey--knew nothing of it aside playing a hour of Origins and trying to play Inquisition on last gen--it is a ripoff. Yea, it's the same engine, but, too many things are done the same and done better in DA. And it's a problem because the game came out in 2014.
I can't give them a pass because they called it a Mass Effect game. I won't hold Anthem to Mass Effect standards nor DA:4.
You can't be "excited for the next chapter in Mass Effect" for five years and give it a pass "Well, it's a fresh start"

I feel you breh. I also was aware of the very very negative reviews from Mass Effect fans online so I had braced myself for some big pile of shyt and say what you will I think Andromeda cleared that bar at least. You seem to disagree and that's fine breh.
Did you play DA before playing Andromeda? Just curious. Or did all the shyt talking make you wanna confirm what they were saying.
2016: Bought DA:Origins, returned it, bought Inquisition, returned it because it was not made to run on 360 or PS3, literally played only a hour total of both games
2017: Bought Andromeda the day it dropped (
took off work ), a few months later (after being disappointed) bought DA:I on X1S--I've beat it, twice so far

I think you'll like it. I got the deluxe edition for 12 or 14 dollars back in October. It was my first Mass Effect game as well. Liked it so much I went back and played the original trilogy. Solid series.

just know its rumors out thats what bioware austin is working on a remake/spiritual successor and that microsoft and sony bidding hard for that exclusive. Hopefully they confirm something soon.I played andromeda once all the way through and did every single side quest and collectible n shyt because i knew i was never going to play again.
The only thing good about andromeda is the combat system. The rest of that shyt is just weak.
But i was a FIEND for the first three games so i had to see it through to the end.
